That's awesome. He earned it this year. Congrats kid.
He and Kerins are solid hopes for centers down the line.

Jack Beck isn't signed, but I imagine he is also with the Heat right now.
Good for Nikolaev

Beck is a 2021 draftee. The Flames have another year to sign him to an Entry Level.
Francis, as a 2020, goes back into the draft if he isn't signed by June 1, IIRC.

Unless there's a more promising free agent goaltender out there, I assume the Flames will also sign Daniil Chechelev to back up Dustin Wolf in the AHL next season -- a role he's already filling.

I wonder if all these Russian players find a way to stay in NA full time, probably not a good idea to return home these days.

Nik finished with 58gp/23g/49a/72pts,+35, 83 PIM. 10th in USHL scoring, 4th in plus/minus. He was a beast in the playoffs, tied for 1st in scoring for the Storm (1st in goals and plus/minus) with 5gp/5g/3a/8pts,+6, 4 PIM.

When the war in Ukraine broke out, there was talk that the NHL might not let Russians play in the league next year. I think that idea might have cooled down though....

Slippery slope with contracts but for those who support Putin (example-"he's my president") and take the $millions back to Russian I say screw em.

If Francis isn't signed I'd be shocked.
Numbers suffered this year due to circumstances almost out of his control (Dufour becoming an elite sniper and playing 2/3 of the year with scrubs).
