Yeaaaaaah, if anyone is post six-months and has a way to get their booster dose (or is willing to lie for it), just go f-cking do it before this clown college of a province lets more doses expire.

What a sh-t show.

I called a pharmacy because I'm just about 7 months out, to see if there was an extra dose at the end of the day if they would give it to me, since I was under 60. The pharmacist said no, "they would rather us throw it away"....

I'm 49.5 years old and will be 6 months post 2nd shot on the weekend. Pharmacy giving me my booster tomorrow. The pharmacist said as long as you're 6 months good to go.

Same experience. A pharmacy was throwing away 200. I was 8 months post second shot and a T1 diabetic. I asked if I could have one of the doses they were throwing away and he said that is not allowed. I went to the States and got it no questions asked.

What a sh-t show.

I'm willing to lie for it and six months post dose (living with a severely immunocompromised person) and my pharmacy still won't let me get it and they KNOW my mom just got out of the hospital Saturday because I just brought them a schwack of prescriptions from Tom Baker.

What a sh-t show indeed.

Ontario didn't reply to the survey by the Canadian Press, but outside of Ontario there were estimated to be a little over 1M doses wasted/expired. If Alberta's 10% estimate is accurate, they would account for about 750-800K of those.

Yeah, there are some smaller local pharmacies that are just going for it from what I hear. I originally spoke to a larger pharmacy.

Maybe this was already posted, but you can book second shots for kids now. Lots of availability still on January 21 (8 weeks since the first day they offered them).

Has there been any indication when boosters will be available for everyone under 50?

Pfizer-Pfizer with my second shot Mid June.

Wife and I got boosted today. Small pharmacy, didn't even ask about the eligibility criteria.

Knowing that my pregnant wife is boosted definitely makes me feel better.
And I'm off to Ontario in the new year for work so booster definitely doesn't hurt...

Further to above the small pharmacy I was at was checking eligibility but those that weren’t eligible were being told to come at the end of the night in case there were doses(that applied too to people dropping in without appointment-)- that seems like a reasonable compromise - they only thing they definitely were drawing the line at was needed to be 6months post 2nd dose

Also got boosted today. We had called a smaller pharmacy earlier in the week and they agreed to take us (under 50, but had AZ/Pfizer for shots 1 and 2 so they did it under the “travel” category).

We were also 6 months post shot #2 so no issues there.

Anyone who had the AZ-Pfizer combo can get the third shot no problem under the travel category. I did yesterday as well. I booked it online and there were zero questions at the pharmacy. The 6 month interval doesn’t apply to that either.

My wife has been 6 months post-dose 2 for over a week now, and was able to find a pharmacy to give her a booster this morning. No wait, just walked in and got it, she's now triple Pfizer'd.

I asked my pharmacy again this afternoon if I could get my booster (in my 20s but over six months) due to my mom and the pharmacist said no and after a little bit of a go-round with her, I told her I would bring her a doctors note on Monday from either my family doctor or Tom Baker. She said fine, I need a doctors note. I literally pull in my driveway and get a phone call from them saying come on down so my dad and I are triple vaxxed. Not sure if my bluff worked (it wasn't a bluff, I would have called my drs office) or if she just opened a new vial for someone else and didn't want to waste some but either way, triple vaxxed!
