Anyone have any recommendations for a good, newish, dystopian-leaning game on the Playstation? Something that might scratch a similar itch to Cyberpunk, Death Stranding, Stray, or Disco Elysium.
I haven’t seen a lot that interests me lately.
NORCO is fantastic and worth checking out. Dystopian Louisiana!

I never finished The Long Dark but I should it's a great game. I got so immersed I remember looking back when rolling my chair to make sure I wasn't rolling over my dog (I don't own a dog).
EDIT: Wait, is there no dog in The Long Dark? Is there some other winter survival game where there was a dog that I'm thinking of?

I'll have what he's smoking.

I think I'm just conflating things in my brain, I think it may have been Far Cry 6 where I would play for a while then check to make sure I wasn't backing over my non-existent dog when I rolled my chair.

I don't know if I see streaming games taking off anytime soon..even steamlink on my wired network is buggy enough that I wouldn't pay for it. Couldn't imagine complete cloud gaming.

Since Hollow Knight, I've been interested in trying more indies game... Dredge also looks really interesting.
A game that has me really interested is Citizen Sleeper...It's an indie game and a kind of 'table top' game. Normally not my jam, but it is a very interesting premise
a game called Signalis has gotten a ton of positive reviews.... t thought it was xbox, but apparently its supposed to be multiplatform
the nice thing about indie games is that they take chances on presentation/narrative that big games can't... and they aren't super expensive either. These are the type of games that subscription services are really good for.

I think with some fine tuning and other enhancements to make the stream less laggy and more steady, it will be just fine. Hard to pin it all on the cloud platform itself, as it comes down to the users internet connection. I have played gamepass on my phone while taking the train throughout Europe and it works great until it hits some patchy areas with no internet.
The one feature I wish it had was to let you download the game so you can play if offline. I would love to game on a plane for the duration of the trip. Unforunately with a constant internet connection needed that isn't possible right now. Would be good if they instilled a feature where you were allowed to have something like 2-3 games downloaded on your phone and you could play them without a connection, but perhaps it's wishful thinking.
I guess what I am getting at is gamepass cloud gaming has been pretty awesome for me the times I have used it. Feels good knowing I can take my xbox controller with me, hook it up to my phone and have my gaming collection on the go.
Timberborn has been very fun, but I suspect it'll lose it's sheen pretty quickly. It's incredibly fun in the same way a mobile game on your phone can be, but with bigger map, better graphics. My only concern is that after about 10-15 hours you might have done everything that can be done and due to the relative simplicity replay value will be pretty limited. Unless there some future updates of course.
I don't mind that, I often lose interest in huge 50+ hour games, it's nice to have something small. I finished Dredge this afternoon, a nice little story and fun game, but any longer and it'd have gotten tedious.
