Secondly, I don't remember him ever sharing his views with the larger public or in a public forum. Which is the point. He's not trying to influence anyone, while Grimaldi is. Another aspect of fundamentalism.
I'm sure if he was Muslim or Jewish and saying this you wouldn't take an issue with it. I don't understand his viewpoint personally, but I don't see how some see this as a negative from a hockey standpoint.

I actually find it refreshing that someone in his position expresses their convictions.

I may not agree necessarily, but good on him for taking a stand for what he believes, very possibly at the risk of putting himself in some people's crosshairs.

I don't think this makes him a "fundamentalist".

Oh for sure. Muslims and Jews are always getting a free ride.

What I'm curious about is what an outfit that honours God looks like.

You know you've got God up there and he's looking down at you getting dressed and obviously he's thinking either "that outfit doesn't honour me" or he's thinking "Nice, that outfit totally honours me".

What does he want me to wear?

What does the bible say about pantyhose?

I kind of agree, if one has convictions at least have the courage to live them.

I mean really, if you were walking along some train tracks and there was a train coming, I'd tell you "get out the way!". If you refused to listen I'd probably yell at you and hound you, until ultimately I'd probably tackle you and drag you off the tracks against your will to get you off the train tracks.

How much more should it matter when it's an eternal soul at stake, not just this mortal body?

So guys like this, while I find it creepy and annoying, I do have some level of respect for it, at least he actually believes what he says he believes.

It's the ones that profess to believe that non-believers are going to hell that make no sense. Either they actually, down deep, don't believe, or they are the most warped minds of all (since they can sit and happily watch Futurama knowing that people could be going to eternal damnation because they were watching Futurama instead of doing everything within their power to try and save them).

Right or wrong, I can't help but compare guys like this to Agent Van Alden from Boardwalk Empire. I shouldn't make assumptions, but I always think they must have some freaky #### going on in their heads. Another (non fictional) example is Brandon in the latest Survivor.

Personally, I can agree with a lot that he has to say and I honestly believe that he's a better role model then most of the scantily clad women and womanizing muscle heads out there. I do disagree when he singles out women in tempting the opposite sex for both sexes are responsible. However everything else is spot on.

What kind of examples are people setting when they treat their bodies as objects? I don't think the modesty that he speaks of calls people to wear potato sacks but to simply cover-up more and show some respect for themselves.

**DISCLAIMER - I love boobs**

meh - beside the religion aspect of it, is it really a bad message? Have the self esteem and self respect to not have to whore yourself out for the attention of men.

As a religious person, who can also find the time to appreciate the female body though, I'm not quite sure I follow. Is what he says so crazy about girls dressing slutty that he can be compared to someone who whips himself and murdered another? Take out the God talk and I don't think it's even that uncommon of thinking.

I'll agree with Brandon, that guy's a nutcase, but Rocco here just seems to have a religious belief that differs from others. I don't use Twitter but I assume if you want to read his views it's a choice, so it's not like he's forcing this down anyone's throat.

Girls can dress however they want. Their lives their choice. Why is this so difficult?

And others can have their own views about it. Their lives their beliefs.

Now if he was going around the beaches in Miami and forcing the scantily clad females to wear parkas then I would see an issue.

It has nothing to do with what he believes. I've just observed that the more public a person is willing to make what are, in my opinion, very personal thoughts, the more likely that person is to have severe private problems. This is obviously a gross generalization.

You can call me an ultra conservative agnostic.

Big difference between having beliefs and forcing them on others. A woman dressing inappropriately isn't trying to force other people to dress like her.

Quite clearly this is just Grimaldi trying to induce girls to come at him real hard.

Very smart.
