Worst games in Flames history that you remember?
We'll we saw one today, do y'all remember other games that were just as bad as today's? I'll take any game, be it pre, regular, or playoff season.
And I have a few examples too.
* 8-0 thumping at home at the hands of Sharks
* 3-0 lead blown (1991 Game 7 vs. Edmonton)
* 3-0 L (2006 Game 7 vs. Anaheim)

2004 Game 7
Team had nothing and it was so depressing.

Ottawa game last year was pretty bad, as well as the Vegas one where they completely collapsed. And that’s just last year.
I was also at the playoff game vs the ducks where they went up 3-0 after the flames led 4 - 1 or something like that in the game.

At least that was understandable with what they went through that year. IMO game 7 vs Anaheim in 2006 is the worst game I've ever seen the Flames play, just absolutely no heart. That game really set the stage for the year after year of disappointment from this franchise since

7-1 Phoenix on January 23, 2003 was the best beating the flames have ever been given. You know why? Because Darryl Sutter had just been hired as coach and he wasn't going to put up with that ####.

I don't know, doesn't seem worth having a thread where everyone tries to feel worse than they already do.

Man, there's a few.
Game 7 v Anaheim in 2006
9-0 loss to San Jose in the late 00's
Season opener to the Oilers last year. 3-0 wasn't it?
Season opener to the Oilers the year before that. The one where Gaudreau is hauled down, no call, then somebody breathes on McDavid coming back the other way and it's a penalty shot
The 5-4 loss to Anaheim, game 3, two years ago
Man. Too many.

I think these games can be turning points. If Peters is anything like Sutter, this will mark the culture shift tipping point. This is the time where the players feel bad and he can prop them up, just so he can throw them further into the gutter and make them feel like even worse. This is where you beat them into submission. Because they're vulnerable. And they'll take it.
This is why I wanted Sutter. I've been pleasantly surprised with Peters, but to me, this is a test for him.

The 6-5 loss to Chicago in the Jokinen years where we were up 5-0 is another proud Flames fan moment

I’ll never forget recording the Flames Vs. Blackhawks Oct 13, 2009. Blew the 5 goal lead to lose in OT. Just the highs and lows, and it being like 3AM. That one sticks out for me.

That Iginla era game where they were up 5-0 within 10 minutes of the first period against Chicago and ended up losing in OT

Sorry Flames' fans, I feel that never being in a game is not as bad as: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEveabtsUUI
Giving up the biggest comeback in an older franchise history.

This. That mark the return of dismal times for this franchise, with a brief break when Flames won a round in the 2015 playoffs.

Don't forget when hagman scored the shoot-out winner as a duck in mid March, while flames were fighting for a playoff spot. Hagman was a waiver wire pick up, and flames were paying half is salary. We didn't make the playoffs that year and didn't untill '15. Ah, the Phaneuf trade...good times.
