Do you personally have higher or lower exceptions for this Hamilton-less edition of the Flames?
Higher expectations. But that does not in any way preclude my firm belief that Hamilton is an excellent defenseman. So good, that the Carolina Hurricanes moved TWO young, core pieces to acquire him. Also, the myopic focus on just this trade virtually ignores the many other changes made in the offseason which I believe will make a big impact in the long run, and leave the team demonstrably improved.

ricardodw:

You can be in favour of the trade without hating on Hamilton. It is a simple matter of whether or not the return for Hamilton was worthwhile.

And whether or not the team is better is a different matter altogether. Even if you think we lost the trade, you can believe the team improved, due to the other acquisitions, including Neal, Ryan and Czarnik.

Solid trolling though.

You mean the Flames which, yes, subtracted Hamilton (and Ferland) but added Lindholm and Hanifin in that deal?
