nah, Chung / Edmund final is going to be must-see TV at 2am Sunday.

fun trivia...16 years ago, Roger defeated Fucsovics' coach at this same tournament.

I was also surprised she was able to turn that match around. Showing that kind of will makes me think she is going to be playing on the weekend for sure.

If Rafa is a little off and loses the first set, I would not call a Cilic win completely out of the question. Nadal hasn't yet hit the untouchable zone we finally saw again last year. Cilic has been bang on with his service games all tournament and has been absolutely crushing winners while also defending as well as I've seen him.

when Nole had to pull out of Qatar to start the year, then showed up to this tournament with that weird service motion cause he can't serve normally without hurting himself, that should have been the clue for his team to make the right decision and sit this one out. now he's put the remainder of his season in danger, even if at some point he recovers fully, he will not accumulate enough match reps to be competitive for the big events.

Just give Fed a pass to the finals, it's amazing how he never gets upset. Everyone else occasionally loses to someone completely random who is having the game of their lives. Roger that doesn't happen.

2013 SW19 vs Stakhovsky
2015 AO vs Seppi

and anyone that can take out Zverev and Djoker back to back is a threat regardless of his ranking. there's still probably a 30% chance that Sunday isn't Fedal-fest.

Busy Gaby tonight!

Women's doubles quarterfinal at 8:30 p.m. Calgary time.

Round of 16 in mixed doubles at around 11:00 p.m. Calgary time.

Those matches seem really close together (sorry, I'm going on the Google schedule).

Kyrgios does have a big personality which can rub people the wrong way however I think this makes him far more interesting than many of the robotic players on tour. He has gained a lot of fans here this week and I am firmly on the band wagon.
Well i guess even Alex Burrows has his fans. Did you even watch this match? He was anything but mature or grownup. It was disgusting. and when they cut to the shots of his box they were confused and didn't know to get up or sit down or cheer. It was super awkward.

Yeah robotic is bad. Why use the head of the racquet to return a serve on match point? It's way better to use the butt end of the handle. Jesus.

He should go "count his money" instead of playing like Tomic, the other dbag Aussie.

All class!!......

Quote:
Kyrgios' anger was later directed at his own team.

Sitting court-side preparing for the second set, Kyrgios yelled 'it's ######ed, absolutely ######ed'.

He blew up at his supporter's box for not having a racquet with the right tension.

'Which one's a 54 and which one's a 55?' he said.

'Well done. You had all day to figure it out.

'One thing with the racquets, that's it. That's all you had to do.'

The outburst prompted his team to race out of the building and restring the racquet, only for him to leave it court-side for the remainder of the game.
Quote:
Kyrgios also lost his temper with the umpire when a ball was called long.

'Obviously I'm going to challenge, champ,' he said.
Quote:
When Kyrgios hit a ball into the stands in the third set, his opponent's coach screamed at one of the supervisors for allowing it.

Bulgarian coach Dani Vallverdu was furious Kyrgios was not given a warning.

I've been putting my Federer cap to the max this past week. Best $94 after US conversion i ever spent.... at least it's super comfortable.

Can someone tell Melbourne they would get LESS visitors to their city when they keep looping the same crappy commercial over and over again like a North Korean propaganda video.

Melbourne sucks. Visit Sydney instead

You don't have it too bad. I'd much rather watch bad Melbourne tourism adds than the adds for horrible Aussie TV shows I am forced to watch.

Wasn't expecting to wake up to Rafa retiring in the fifth set. Looks like he can barely move though.

Gutted, that's the worst result to wake up to. Hopefully he is healthy for clay court season.
