Hearing #Flames ask on Kris Russell presently a high pick and prospect. Too rich for LA at present.

Russell and the 4th the Flames got from Florida for Hintz and a 2nd?

I mean russell, the florida second, and shinkaruk could be an appealing return for dallas or tampa. a top of the market rental, decent pick, and good prospect.
bennett-drouin or bennett-nichuskin on a second line would be a legit secondary threat next year.

Would love love love to see Nichushkin come to Cgy. Dallas interested in Russell. Add the Panthers or Flames 2nd rounder and might get it done.

Nicushkin would be an interesting add for the Flames. NHL ready at some level, a good shooter, big though not incredibly physical, and can play RW to boot. Would be a nice gamble to see if he can put it all together with Gaudreau and Monahan to become a major scoring threat.

Dallas might want roster players instead of picks.
Maybe Russell and Ferland for Nichushkin? Plus a pick?

Nichushkin is going to cost too much. Russell + Colborne + Poirier/Shinkaruk and maybe + something else as well.
Drouin might be the guy to target as I assume his value has gone down more than Nichushkins. Nichushkin has been extremely coachable and has moved up and down the lineup without complaints, and has even done checking assignments without complaints.
I am still hoping that Treliving is able to get either one - getting another high-end young player on an ELC is exactly what this team needs heading into the draft.

Looks like people are going to be really disappointed with the Russell return based on what's being discussed here.
Just setting yourself up for disappointment folks.
I think it'll be something like a 2nd and Brett Ritchie.

I'll be happy if we get a 2nd for Russell. All this pumping of his tires by the media is over board.

Why is Dallas so keen on moving Nichushkin? Seems like he has been a good addition to the team and has had the kind of attitude that any coach would welcome.

I don't think they are keen on moving him at all, and if they do, it would be expensive.

Didn't Roman Polak get a second? Isn't he worth more than Polak?

Well jeez, by that logic you should be doing the same! That'll be some serious over payment in the eyes of others as well!
At this point, we should just resign ourselves to the idea that Russell is going to be re-signed to a 6x6, the absolute other end of this conversations spectrum..
