I though he was going to Philly. I can see why he went to LA though but I felt that if he was about making championship runs it'd be easier to do out East than out West.

DSOTM
WYWH
Animals
The Final Cut
Meddle
Obscured by Clouds
The Wall
Saucer
Atom Heart Mother
Piper

More, Momentary Lapse of Reason, Division Bell and Endless River are all tied for last.

HM to Relics. Biding My Time is one of my favourite PF songs.

Oh and live at Pompeii. A masterpiece.
That's fascinating and all, but I'm more interested in how to rank the Start Trek movies and TV shows.

My list is entirely different:
WYWH
DSOTM
Animals
The Wall
Atom Heart Mother (I don't get the hate for this one, I love it)
Meddle (It's pretty much tied with AHM)
Saucerfull
Division Bell
Piper
Obscured By Clouds
Everything else. Even though an album like UmmaGumma has it's moments of brilliance (Be Careful With that Axe Eugene for example)

The live portion of ummagumma is excellent.

The other disc where each member of the band got their own side and were left to their own devices is unlistenable. Proof that as a band the sum was greater than the parts.

Except David Gilmour is a guitar genius, and his solo albums are great.

I can be friends with anyone with good Pink Floyd takes.

WYWH > DSOTM > The Wall for me. The Wall is a little long for my tastes.

Edit: anything without Waters is unlistenable to me, also

Also, LOL -- Ontarians hate Albertans and it's absolutely hilarious

How someone can create such beautiful sounds like this with just their fingers is incredible

Apparently I took a wrong turn and ended up in Oppositeville.

For having a similarly nihilistic view of everything, Animals is far better than the Wall. Also, not that it needs reminding, but Roger Waters is still an #######.

People change, and while there's no undoing the past, the more introspective acknowledge where they've been wrong, or their behaviours destructive. Case in point: the last time Waters was in Edmonton, at the end of the show while the band was jamming out the last riffs, Waters was down on the floor walking through the first few rows, shaking hands, smiling and interacting with the fans. It was pretty incredible to witness given his history, the infamous incident in Montreal and the ultimate writing of The Wall. It think it was that CFL coach Tillman that copped to a minor sexual assault offense that I recall saying that if we judged everyone by their worst moments then their would be no friendships or marriages in this world. Something like that.

So while I agree Roger Waters has been a dick nearly all of his life, I also see that he's aware of it and is trying, in his way, to make reparations.

I'm shocked to learn Division Bell is held in such low regard, is this typical of PF fans?

I consider High Hopes to be a strong contender for best PF song.

I enjoy The Division Bell, but it ultimately comes short to the golden standard they set for themselves in the 70's

I wonder what MMF is up to now, how has he filled that whole in his life where his 10 posts/day habit used to be?

Lol, looks like he got banned a hair before he hit the 50k mark, mods robbed him of his crown jewel.

He was a great guy with strong opinions. A shame he chose to ban himself as I enjoyed reading his views. Didn't always agree with his views but respected him for having one.

High hopes is an amazing song. Rest of the album is weak imo.

Similar situation with Momentary Lapse of Reason. Sorrow is amazing. Rest of the album is weak. Anyone remember when they used to play Sorrow right before the start of the 3rd at Flames playoff games?

Both albums have great album art. One area that PF never fails to amaze.
