Default Day 14 (PM of Thursday Feb 22 - AM of Friday Feb 23)

The Free Skate portion of the Women’s Figure Skating event will begin at 18:00 and should be on TSN 3. Canada’s Gabrielle Daleman will be the 16th skater. Kaetlyn Osmond will be the 23rd skater.

Also at 18:00 the Women’s Ski Cross will begin and it should be on CBC. In the first heat Canada’s Marielle Thompson will be in the red bib and is defending her Gold Medal from Sochi. Brittany Phelan in her second Olympics (was an Alpine Skier in Sochi) will wear the red bib in Heat 5. India Sherret makes her Olympic debut wearing the green bib in Heat 6. 2014 Silver Medalist Kelsey Serwa will wear the red bib in Heat 8. The Quarterfinals are scheduled to begin at 18:35, Semifinals at 18:59, and the Finals should be at 19:15.

Kevin Koe curls for the Bronze Medal at 23:35 against Switzerland. This should be on Sportsnet and/or Sportsnet 1.

The first Semifinal in the Men’s Hockey Tournament features the Czech Republic facing Russia, it begins at 00:40 and should be on CBC.

The Men’s 1000m Final in Long Track will begin at 03:00 and should be on CBC. Laurent Dubreuil will be in the 3rd pairing, Alexandre St-Jean will be in 15th pair, and Vincent de Haitre will be in the 17th pairing.

The Semifinals for the Women’s Curling Tournament begin at 04:05. South Korea takes on Japan while Sweden will face Great Britain.

At 04:15 the Men’s 4x7.5km Relay begins and I’m pretty sure it will be on Sportsnet 1.

At 05:10 Canada faces Germany in the second Semifinal in Men’s Hockey. I believe it will be on CBC but should also be shown on TSN 1, 3, 4, & 5.

Ski and Snowboard Cross has become one of my favorite Olympic events to watch. Great action and you never know what'll happen. It doesn't feel as frustrating to watch as short track speed skating either. Between Ski/Snowboard Cross, the half pipe competition and big air, I'm definitely all in on these newer alpine sports.

Second most watched thing for me this Olympics is Curling, and I was surprised to find myself watching a lot of figure skating too, which I've never done. That came at the expense of hockey this year.

Thanks again to CoR for posting these every day. I plan my day using your posts!

Ha exactly. Instead of trying to fumble my way thru the CBC Olympics app, I just set viewing schedule from CofR posts here.
No matter how many times it's already been said, still not enough. Thanks for doing this for us!

At the entry of Canada House it reads, in part, “Within these walls where those with Olympic hearts come to gather, you are welcomed, accepted and respected. This is your house no matter who you are or where you come from.” There is a lot to be sad or angry about in the world. But some things are good.
Awesome

Is she an anime fan? Or does she just know that the judges are old white men and there's a weird lolita thing going on here?

She is. and of course this wasn't a real program. It was for the gala after the competition.

The Canadians not being in the same 1/8 heats is really good (and I think it keeps at least Thompson, Serwa and Phelan out of eachothers races in the Quarters should they all make it through as well, which is good for Canada's chances of putting racers through to the finals, but I'm not sure). It was all doom and gloom with the women's ski cross after Thompson got injured at the start of the season when she was the person to beat. Then Georgia Simmerling got injured and is missing the Olympics after she was having a great season and was looking to be Canada's best shot at a medal. All three having strong seeding heats is good to see.

Hopefully Thompson can build on the best qualifying time and her body can hold up given how this track has been beating people up, nevermind ones that have missed the season up to this point with injury.

For those on social media, Kelsey Serwa and Brittany Phelan are definitely a fun duo to follow on Instagram.

You implied it when talking about the judges being old white men with a lolita fetish?

I just looked for a bit but couldn’t find anything. Scott Russell has already mentioned they’ll be heading there live at 18:00 on CBC, so hopefully everything is all good to go!

Oh God. A horrible 24 hours for Canada at the Olympics just got worse.
