I hate to admit this, but I find myself tuning out after the US Open. The season is far too long. I have no idea how these players and their coaching staff can do it. There really is no offseason for these folks.

Milos and Jo-Willy Tsonga are going to a third and deciding set - Tsonga took the first set in a tie-breaker while Milos took the second set in a tie-breaker.

Nobody is surprised that a third set tie-breaker will decide the match, are they?

Edit: Milos pulls it out in the third set tie-breaker. His reward for all that hard work is Roger Federer.

Denis has pulled out of the ATP NextGen Finals in Milan citing exhaustion - Rest up Shapo and get ready for 2019.

Which means Novak Djokovic is the new world #1 on Monday
Poor Rafa, tennis is just better when he's involved, I wonder how much longer he can continue to grind out the tour with so many injuries year after year.

Wonder what the odds currently are on Novak breaking the major record? With the mens game lacking the up and comers, he could easily win 6 of the next 8 majors. I suspect without his lull in those 18 months from winning the French in 2016 to the end of the 2017 season, he would definitely get the record.

According to WililamHill sports betting its currently 8/1 by the time they both retire. It's the same odds for Nadal to break it. They also have 8/1 odds Tsitsipas will be world #1 before the year 2030.

Bianca wins as Katherine retires in the second set. Bianca took the first set 6-1 and was up 2-0 in the second set.

If Roger Federer can defeat Fabio Fognini (match coming up on TSN4), he will usurp Rafa Nadel with the most Masters 1000 tourney wins.

/Fed and Rafa are currently tied with 362 Masters 1000 match wins

that's kinda weird actually, I would have thought Djoker would be comfortably ahead. maybe he just has fewer tournament entries but a higher winning percentage when he's there.

Definitely not a vintage performance from Roger today, but he did enough to get by Fognini in straight sets 6-4 6-3

Nadal holds the record for most titles at 33, and that includes 11 at a single event. Hoorah for clay!

Tough loss for Jack Sock earlier today to Dominic Thiem in the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters (he won this event last year) as this loss drops him out of the top 100 in the rankings.

/Felix is only three rankings spots behind Jack

Novak takes the opening set in a tie-breaker (8-6 was the tie-breaker score). Prior to the start of the tie-breaker, the number of points won by each player was the same (45).

/What I'm trying to say is it was a very close opening set filled with quality shot-making from both
