Anyone know who headlined the Killswitch/Anthrax shows in either Grand Prairie or Edmonton?

They're rotating each night, trying to figure out what's going on tonight here in town.

I saw Killswitch Engage last year opening for Disturbed at Grey Eagle and they were pretty good. I'm surprised that they would headline over Anthrax.

They're one of the best and tightest metal bands out there right now, even so I've grown really bored of them. Pretty sure I've skipped out last 3 times they were in town but it's been a while and I love the new Anthrax so I'll be there.

They're alternating the headlining slot on the entire town, depends who got that spot last night.

Was thinking about it as I haven't yet seen them live and listened to them a lot in the day. Going to Shinedown/In this Moment at the Grey Eagle on March 31. So glad it's on a weekend as those weekday concerts can be a hassle as they always seem to fall on a week when I have a lot going on at work.

Are you talking about the November concert at MacEwan Hall where they headlined? Yeah that one sold out but I wasn't aware the concert next weekend sold out.

Both actually.

Really bummed about the November one, because I wanted to see Avatar too. The show next weekend sold out too by the time I heard about it a few weeks ago. Now it's like $230 for a single on Ticketmasters awesome scalp service.

Steely Dan announced today that the band will return to The Beacon Theatre stage for a nine-night residency of themed performances starting October 17, 2018.

Avatar was awesome. My brother picked up a ticket last night for $101 + fees as there was still a small handful available at Ticketscammer.

It's crazy that for as long as they've been around, they've never done a Canadian tour before.

I saw them in Anaheim 3 years ago when I went down for the playoffs. It was the highlight of the trip.

Anyone catch the "Kiss guy" video- totally awesome- it's like a fantasy I've had since I was a kid. Foo fighters are so great live and so much fun

"Last night Dave Grohl made a point to call out the dude wearing the Gene Simmons "KISS" makeup down front and invited him onstage. Apparently the dude was holding up a sign earlier in the night that said "Let me play Monkey Wrench..." and Dave obliged. As surprised as "Kiss Guy" was at actually being invited onstage, it's apparent that Dave was equally surprised when the dude got up there and totally and didn't "#### the bed in front of his home town" but instead he absolutely killed it! (Be sure to pay attention to the end of his fist guitar solo and the beginning of the second verse at 3:24 where Dave laughs out loud in disbelief and then forgets the words to the song!)

Sidenote - on the way out of the parking lot after the show, we happened to spot "Kiss Guy" and we decided to stop and take a photo with him. His name is Yayo Sanchez and he's an Austin native and the ticket to the Foo Fighters show was a gift from his mother for his birthday. How cool is that? Happy birthday, Yayo - and great job up there last night!"
