I missed the start of the press conference, but it sounds like more repairs coming August 28th, including some road closures. Not sure of additional restrictions, but I would imagine that they can't work on in-service pipes...

Yup, it's harder but not impossible to heat and hoard pipe segments as they get repaired, especially if you plan for it instead of reacting to an emergency break.

I'm going to empty my Olympic size pool and fill it up as many times as I can before Aug 26.

How much water can a garage hold? I think I can store enough.

If I line my garage with clay...I may just be able to replicate the Venice cisterns.

I only say that because I just watched this really interesting and absolutely off topic video last night.

Spoiler!

I saw that on my recommendation list the other day. I think I'll watch it as well.

It's super cool. I like that they used to bring fresh water in barrels on boats. You think Calgary restrictions are bad? Venetians must have stunk. A tiny fresh water bath, or take the risk in the open sewers that "flush" with the tides. Hrmmm.

Tip of the iceberg. We've basically ignored basic infrastructure for far too long in the country and it's going to come home to roost.

Another woke, female mayor blowing up pipes. CONNECT THE DOTS, SHEEPLE.

Can we somehow implicate Trudeau into this. He’s from there.

Don't be naive and try to spread that kind of fictitious bullcrap here. This is Gondek and Calgary city council's fault.

If I’ve learned anything from the Canadian politics thread, it’s that anything and everything is always the Liberals fault in the end.
