I don’t know how they appear in the game, but the clickers reminded me of Mars Attacks. A bit over the top look for me.

Pretty much the same
Personally I'm loving the differences from the game. Having it be a complete 1-for-1 remake would have been a bit dull I think, the tendrils coming out of the mouth are super gross and awesome, and that final scene made Tess's death/sacrifice much more impactful than in the game. Loved the 4th ave flyover shot as well, I didn't know they'd keep so much of Calgary recognizable in a post-apocalypse setting

The Alberta Legislature Building doubling for the Massachusetts State House (CGI in the gold dome) was pretty clever.

And they didn’t even have to do any augmentations to Edmonton around it.

Bella Ramsey is awesome in this. Didn't mind the changes. Yeah the zombie kiss was weird, but I'm guessing we won't get much more of that if any.

Absolutely loved the episode. Calgary just becomes more of a star as each week passes. So much fun as a Calgarian to watch such a high budget series shot right here at home.

I found the mouth spread to be weird.. and un necessary. I think the infected would still want to pin her down to ensure the maximum success rate. Versus some slow kiss lol.
Otherwise, episode was great. They didn't move super far, but fit a lot in. And this doesn't seem like a slow pace like TWD was, stuff actually happened, they introduced a lot in this episode it was good.
I like the cut back scene at the start, wouldn't mind more of that to flesh out the timeline. She mentions the only thing to do is bomb the city to stop the spread, then you see an actual bomb mark in the middle of Boston. "Worked here... but not so much every where else" meaning this did become the strategy they adopted. Cryptic.

"Bomb" as the first option seems kind of dumb tactically and strategically.
How can you be sure you are cleansing the fungi by bombing everything with what looks like explosive ordinance that can knock over buildings and just make it messier to contain?
What you need is napalm, fire bombing, and mop-up crews wearing chainmail armor.

Drop in Center looks like nothing has changed
Sunlife (The Ampersand), Jamison, Shell, old AGT/Telus, Delta Hotel buildings are all in perfect condition. I wonder if people in Boston feel weird seeing some of their skyline buildings copy-pasted into another city.
Ukrainian church in mint condition!

Awesome episode and loved seeing all of the Calgary scenes. The clicker scene was so tense.

I wasn't sure about Ramsey as Ellie last episode, but I bought-in tonight.

I thought she looked familiar, but I was totally thinking it might be Brett Butler.

So, first, Anna Torv is Olivia Dunham and I will hear no nonsense to the contrary.
Second, I actually didn't realize she was British.
Third, another scene from that episode as it was done in the game (this time in spoiler tags because someone was annoyed last time).

She's not British. She's Australian.

Ah, I only heard her say one thing in a promo and apparently my accent detection failed to pick it up. Anyway, she's got her standard American down, that's for sure.

I like how there's no damage other than some broken windows on the old Telus and Delta buildings. Guess they look dumpy enough as-is to fit in post-apocalypse

Bostonians up in arms about geography taking them out of the show lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/Thelastofus..._on_episode_2/
To be fair, I can only sympathize with them after seeing what they did to represent the Calgary '88 Olympics in the Eddie the Eagle movie with Hugh Jackman. Ruined it for me!

Downtown Calgary to Fort Macleod, we also notice the geography. But this stuff happens all the time in movies and shows.
