that would be like Alek Manoah could be a Maple Leafs defenseman.

I'll never understand playoff baseball timeslots. Who is actually watching all four games that would require this schedule? Sure, have an early slot and a late slot, but play two at 5 or 6pm EST and two at 7 or 8pm EST and you'd probably bring in more people because they can actually watch the games.
A noon EST start is just silly (especially on a weekday).

TV stations need to fill airtime, that's the gist of it. The NFL has three timeslots on Sunday to fit in 10+ games. If they had 3 games, they'd still have the same 3 timeslots, see playoffs.
But it is stupid, especially for betting and fantasy. Who wants to set a lineup and track it for 13 hours?

I don't know...I loved the bubble where there were three games per city per day and everything was staggered.
I think they are starting a bit too early, but with no home team being based in the PT time zone it messes it up for the MLB.

What?
The NFL is the biggest betting / fantasy league in the world and a big part of that is because the degen sports fans that we are love being able to follow 12 hours of football on a sunday

92 wins! What a year, but what a stretch run.
September 1st the Jays were only 1.5 games up on Baltimore for the last playoff spot, and two games behind both Tampa and Seattle.
They finished 22-11 with a +47 run differential at the most important stretch of the season.

Fricking Kikuchi keeps pulling me back in. Mitch White is basically a glorified Casey Lawrence but Kikuchi has stuff that can be devastating. His K rate is insane since moving to the bullpen - obviously pitching in low leverage where his numbers are probably a bit inflated against guys who may have checked out a bit.
Seattle has a lot of lefties in the lineup but I don’t think they’ll keep him on the roster for a best of three because they hope that Manoah and Gausman can eat up innings.

Wow! That's a nice run. Bo Bichette looking like Bo Bichette definitely helped a lot.
Manoah, Gausman and Stripling also locked it down.
Bo's Sept. stat line:
BA: .403, 48 Hits, 11 doubles, 7 HRs

Those start times are something. Manfred and Co are idiots for doing early games during the weekday. Terrible TV ratings in the works.

Fine with the game times. The earlier time slot wouldn't have been great and if the Jays didn't play the west coast M's, they'd be in that earlier time slot.
Times , like vs the Rangers in the batflip game, will be mid afternoon no matter what. They want one prime time game and Jays Ms isn't it. But it is Friday of a long weekend, so go with it.
