The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired Center Jeff Carter from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for forward Darren Helm. The Hurricanes also receive 3.2M in cap space for the upcoming season

The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired rearguard Oliver Kylington from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for 1.12M for the 2018-19 season. The Canes also receive 600k for the 2019-2020 season
