I want to have this team go on a deep playoff run but i just don’t see it happening when they’re playing like this.
You are like the less funny knock off version of Jay Random

Good win. You need to beat bottom feeder trash like Arizona, it’s free points on the schedule

Jay Random can retire from doing the Debbie Downer posts. This is back to back games where you’ve gone DD.

You should break it to the Leafs, Panthers, and Hurricanes that their season is over because they all LOST to the Yotes

News flash, having a good power play and good goaltending is a bad thing.

I didn't really think Arizona looked that bad. They seemed more defensively sound than a lot of the eastern teams the Flames just played.

But Arizona doesn't have a lot of offense to speak of. As such, the Special Teams were big tonight, considering there were so few penalties, and the Flames were on the right side of it.

With the salary floor being what it is, even the worst team will win a quarter to a third of its games. People tend to forget that.
They’re in a third way tie for second worst in the league with a goal differential of -20, have lost six in a row and are 1-6-3 in their last 10.

Yes they are a team in the NHL that beats other NHL teams, doesn’t mean that the flames should be giving up multi goal leads to them. These games against the bottom 1/3 of the league are leaving little room for error if we’re trying to grab a wild card spot.

Vladar with shades of Demko stealing the net from an underperforming Markstrom. Maybe a good ol’ fashion goalie controversy is the spark the team needs. Nice to see a couple W’s again.

How a team plays on December 5th predetermines how a team will play in April, May and June?

Goaltenders apparently aren’t players and PPs apparently don’t count.

That never happened in Vancouver though. Markstrom had far better numbers then Demko in Vancouver. Demko got into the playoffs when Markstrom got injured after winning the play in and round 1.

Markstrom was 4th in Vezina voting his final season in Vancouver

I think this game continues a trend where we're around the 2 expected goals against mark. That is a good trend in my book, especially when you have a goalie that's playing well.

It was far from a perfect game, but it was another step in the right direction. As soon as the boys get more confidence in themselves and the system they will find more offense and tighten up the defense.

Vladar was big in keeping this game away from OT. Lucic needs to sit a game or two. As for Hanifin, a pretty solid game for him, I liked his play in the offensive zone a lot better tonight, hopefully he will start playing like the player he was last year.

Most boring game of the season. Thanks. Yotes. Now go suck hard for Bedard.

Flames won playing a poorish game. Yotes blow!

Even if the team management wants to tank, most players have enough pride to leave it out on the ice. The Yotes aren’t good but aren’t going to just roll over for their opponents.

I think people forget that any team can beat any team on any given night. This the NHL, not an NHL team playing against a WHL team. The range in overall team talent is not that far apart.

They got a win against a team they were favoured to win against, and have won 3 of the past 4 games at home during this stand. At the end of the day, the results is what matters, and I'm happy with it.

They can't all be Picasso's, have to win ugly sometimes.

Thought the 4th line was effective through two, but then overplayed a bit in the third.

Huberdeau with a terrible giveaway at the end that won't make Sutter happy.

Flames win and good OOT.
