Today I learned Pakistan and Zimbabwe have a major cricket rivalry that started over a fake Mr. Bean.

Netherlands just shocked South Africa knocking them out. Suddenly the Pakistan-Bangladesh match means a spot in the semis instead of a dead rubber. It's about to start on Willow. 2372 on Telus.

Got an extra hour might as well stay up late

South Africa lives up to their reputation as one of the greatest chokers in sports.

Semi finals are New Zealand vs Pakistan and India vs England. Go Kiwis!

SA needs a major leadership revamp. Bavuma is not a good captain. They do have some good players but choking during major tournaments is in their blood.

What a turnaround by Pakistan, losing the first 2 matches and seemed like they wouldn't even finish top 4 in the group but they beat NZ today and are in the finals.

Hoping India pulls off a win against England tonight to set up Ind vs Pak final.

England wins the T20 World Cup final against Pakistan. Pakistan’s batting let them down. Their bowling was top notch though and almost bailed them out.

Wow NZ beat England by 1 run! Only the 2nd time in history a test match has been decided by the closest possible margin.

Only the 4th time in test match history where a team has won after following on. I was watching it and thought the Black Caps were done after collapsing at the tail end of their 2nd innings. Especially given the aggressiveness with which the English team has been playing under Brendon McCullum. Neil Wagner is a beauty, such a unique bowler and exudes passion for the game.

So happy that NZ won. Hate keep hearing about England and "Bazball" so annoying.

I love the aesthetic of the test cricket grounds in NZ. Feels like you could be out walking your dog in the neighborhood park and just happen to stumble upon an elite cricket match.

That was an epic ending. The winning run scored by inches that was only possible because of an earlier boundary scored by inches. Nothing better in cricket than a test going down to the final balls.

A major reason for that match being so exciting was because Sri Lanka needed to play for a win to keep their test championship hopes alive. Their loss sets the final as Australia vs India in London. Was a clever move to have the championship final in England as it will always ensure a neutral ground...

Canada defeated the United States last week, but then lost to Namibia

The Ashes is on Wilow TV, which is free if you have Telus. Channel 2372.

Interesting right now. 5th day of the 1st test. Australia need 117 and England needs 5 wickets. 46 overs left so probably 50/50 who wins.

Another close victory for Australia! 2-0 now.

This match disintegrated into each team bowling at the others heads which was dramatic enough before big drama on the final day. That's when the Aussie keeper Alex Carey got his counterpart Johnny Bairstow out by catching him leaving his crease before the play was over. It was probably the funniest thing I've seen in Cricket and the English reaction took the humour to another level. Their players and fans went crazy with the historic walk through the Lord's members area turning into the old rich guys throwing a tantrum at the Aussie players. Made Ben Stokes very angry and he almost won the test himself before complaining after he would not have done the same.

I don't get the English argument it wasn't in the spirit of the game. Maybe because I come from baseball where if a runner got caught leaning off the base before time was called they would be blamed for not paying attention and everyone would move on. This is the highest form of the game, not a casual afternoon between friends.

The thing about the Ashes is, I wish both teams could lose.

That's a great breakdown. It never fails that when your team does something cheeky it's a "heads up play" or "brilliant thinking", but when it happens against your team it's against the unwritten rules.

Personally, I'm a letter of the law guy - none of this unwritten rules. He was out legitimately, and he'll probably never make that mistake again. Why cast the opponent in a bad light when it's totally your own blunder?

England were brilliant today. Looks like 2-2 and headed for a 5th and deciding test at The Oval.
