Don't know where to put this, so I'll pretend it G'd my G's.

There was a police convoy going through Cochrane this morning. About 20 City of Calgary Police Harley's, some City of Calgary police cars and some RCMP cars. Full sirens. I found it very odd there was Calgary units out there. They blocked off The 2A/22 intersection, and it was serious business. There was about 4 black Suburbans and a bunch of black sedans in the middle of the escort.

Is the PM in Alberta? Some other world leader heading to Banff? Anyone know anything about this? It was actually pretty cool.

I had to go to one yesterday, 30 degrees outside, no AC, no ceiling fans, nothing. We were not allowed to bring in drinks, even water. It was so hot and brutal inside, nobody was comfortable. I once went on a trip to Cuba in my younger days and the resort had a Sunday Mass, I've always found it neat to experience things in different cultures so I figured I'd give it a shot.

They held Mass in the outdoor auditorium and I #### you not...there were waitresses serving beer and rum and you could have a cigar at your table.

Now that is a civilized mass.

If it is 10am Rum and Cigars in the Caribbean sunshine, outdoors while a guy reads out of a book? I'd be there every Sunday.

It's preposterous. Have they not heard of a helicopter? Maybe take one of the two HAWCSes away from searching for kids throwing rocks at bus shelters for an hour and just fly VIPs around if we need to. This is dumb.

Another day on the bus, more dumbasses who think it's socially acceptable to play their music at max volume no headphones. One has no shirt... they look about 13.

I have a theory that Covid really screwed up these kids, they legitimately seem to be 3 years behind in their social development as a result. Just a bunch of ####heads, really... we need to raise teacher pay just to deal with this crap. Same thing last weekend, went to see a movie and there were some kids in there basically treating the theatre like their living room. Phones out, talking through the whole thing...

There's a few teachers in my extended family (plus a couple old buddies), this is unanimously what they all say: Covid socially stunted them a couple years. One teaches grade 10, he says they're socially at where grade 8s should be. It's definitely a thing. And speaks to the importance of in person schooling (though obviously certain personalities do better with home or distance learning).
