Just two weeks ago I was picking my mom up from physiotherapy, so I used her car and tag, and some Karen came completely un####ed on me. Then when she saw me 5 minutes later pushing a wheelchair she didn't even apologize, still just scowled at me

What's the deal with online vendors these days in regards to sending you emails that your order has shipped when it's just the shipping label created? I have one item purchased off ebay that is in shipped status as the label was made on 4/04 but when I track USPS today it says "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item". I ordered some other stuff from a Canadian vendor out east a month ago and it was exactly the same thing as I called them after a week of no updates other than the FedEx "label created" and they apologized and shipped it the next day. Creating a shipping label does not mean the goods have been picked up by the courier and the vendors should not be considering this shipped until the goods are out the door.

It's automated and doesn't cost them anything, and it is a psychological trick to make you think they have quick service. For every annoyed person, there are probably 20 more who don't really notice it hasn't actually shipped, and think they have a good online store because of it.

The time my wife broke her foot and got a temporary tag during Christmas was awesome... well, less so for her. But still, it was like a VIP pass at the most opportune time.

I came to post a very similar story.
I took my disabled Grandmother to the grocery store, parked in the spot, proceeded to get chewed out and then my Grandmother shows up and I get her.
What is with people and disabled parking spots?
When I'm out and about on my own I dont even consider them an option. I'm the guy who parks waaaay far away and walks to the store....unless I'm with my Grandmother, which will never happen again.
I dont understand the judgement. I like to think that my powers of deductive reasoning are better than average but sub-Holmesian, but even I cant deduce if everyone is disabled from a mere glance from 50 yards.
They might not be in a wheelchair, but they might not be able to walk all that fair, the possibilities are endless. Just go about your day.

I used to live on the second floor of a building and I can count the number of times i took the elevator in 5+ years on one hand, even though this elevator defaulted to waiting on the ground floor with the door open.
You do you, but i'll be judging. Not that you're lazy but that you're stupid.

Some people are just too lazy to wait for the elevator.

And the thing is...there is nothing you can realistically do to disarm the situation.
Its like telling a furious person to 'Calm Down.'
Sweet. Lets just toss some gas on that fire.
There is no reasoning people out of this. What the hell? Realistically the only thing you can do to not escalate the problem is just let them yell at you until they get tired or bored.
You cannot de-escalate...you just have to let them tire themselves out. Its like a toddler having a tantrum.

Yeah, okay...but to be clear...when I'm helping my disabled Grandmother I really dont feel like getting into a donnybrook in the Co-Op Parking lot.
She might hit a dissident in the head with her walker, which would be helpful because I'm useless in a fight, but I'd rather avoid the situation entirely if at all possible.

What honestly is the #### with adults in the age 50-70 range that literally throw tantrums in public? Like... so many boomers went completely insane during the pandemic or something. I've literally been seeing more of these types of people lately.
What's also bizarre is that it seems like these boomers will go on a rampage until another boomer intervenes. Like they'll berate these teens cashiers or immigrants or whoever, ignore millennials asking them to stop, but will stop if another boomer walks up.

Okay. You used the term 'boomer' there a lot, but honestly, I just feel like the average population is really angry at the moment.

Unless you're in Vancouver, apparently they pull out a knife and stab you in the heart for that. And take selfies and #### afterwards.
