Ugh...apparently I suck at this...here are the latest standings!!
@GreatWhiteEbola - I didn't notice your love affair with Hulkenberg until too late
@3thirty - I dont know how you do it...but forgetting to submit picks is working for you!! On that topic I know I mentioned that if we miss 3 race picks that eliminates a team...but do we really care?? Not playing for anything this year.
@RatherDashing - Well done again. Most correct picks 2 weeks in a row and on top of the leader board.
@Ferrari - F U

5 days to the most entertaining race of the season ! I just love Baku, super tight Castle section, loonnngggg straights that always lead to some excitement, and something in the air that makes good drivers do stupid things...whether it's Grosjean hitting the wall behind a safety car & blaming Ericcson, Max triple blocking a MUCH faster Ricciardo, or Vettel intentionally hitting Hamilton there is always something to watch.
Friendly reminder to not let me pick Ferrari as well...

Can't wait. Baku is a gas. Can't believe I forgot about Grosjean last year. Could not stop laughing when he did that
Same for me...especially him trying to blame Ericsson!! He was at least 20m behind and nowhere near GrosJean when he biffed it.
Here is a very interesting article on some proposed changes to F1 by ex driver Stefan Johannsen. I tend to agree with most of his points, but I do hold the fear of F1 being another IndyCar. But if you can get the right man to lead the transition it could be reinvigorating to the sport.
Ferrari also has a new aero package for Baku, apparently with more down force to help them in the corners. Focus on the barge boards + higher down force rear wing. Mercedes is bringing back the serrated rear wing in order to lower drag.
Kind of makes sense to see both teams starting to converge again in design. Ferrari is so fast in the straight because of the low drag setup, but Merc was killing them in the corners. Also, the Honda boys apparently get a power unit upgrade this week. Hopefully, this gives a much tighter battle throughout the field. But Ferrari will screw it up for sure (and Renaults will blow engines).

What a gong show. Practice cancelled after a Williams totals itself on a loose manhole cover,and to top it off the picker truck makes contact with the underside of a bridge and leaks Hydraulic fluid all over the car on the bed.

Good lord, what a clown show. How have these tracks not done a simple walk thru to check on this stuff. Very similar issue happened in Melbourne and ruined Ricciardos race when he hit a hidden drain just off the track.
Also saw some video of the same cover nearly ruining Leclerc's car before it blew up the Wiliams.
Its confirmed Williams needs a new chassis for Russel and I've heard they may be scraping the bottom of the barrel for spare parts (he also damaged his PU apparently). Which dovetails nicely into rumours that they're actually for sale (or major cash infusion - https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/w...zepin/4376110/)
Hot damn tho...FP2 looks quite interesting after teams lost out on a red flagged FP1. My boys at Toro Rosso look like world beaters right now, being the best of the rest. This even with Kvyat hitting the wall.
Stroll punted it into the wall on a really dirty track. Hamilton, Bottas, Vettel, Ricciardo, et al all going off or spinning as well. I'm just getting caught up so not sure what else is happening, but Renault looks like poo.
**Reminder to get your picks in**
