I think the Kings have been the #1 team mentioned in on Skinners services.

I can't really see another reason for Calgary to make a move to get into the first round unless for someone specific like Brady. It doesn't seem to support the game plan to be trying to make picks if you feel like your window is open right now, and you need to make moves for supporting players instead.

I also think Hamilton moves and the Flames draft Tkachuk. I think the obvious deal will be with Arizona but I am not sure besides pick #5 what comes with it. I think the holdup right now will be to make sure Brady is still there at 5. Pure speculation on my part.

Anyone have a good guess on Tkachuk dropping in the draft?
There's a lot of chatter of him not being all he's hyped up to be - if that's true, could Treliving be eyeing a 5-10 position?
Definitely think that having both Tkachuks would be devastating for us to have.

Trading Hamilton would be the dumbest thing ever.

Would be amazing. But everyone knows to acquire EK you need to take Bobby Ryan as well. Would we be okay with this?
Maybe OTT retains like 2 mill per year on Bobby Ryan's contract and take Brouwer.
Also as a throw in we give them Stone to reunite with his bro.
I'd be all for that.

I find it funny that people think Brodie had such a disaster of a season but are willing to acquire EK. He had a worse +/- and a far worse giveaway/takeaway ratio then Brodie. I get EK has a ton of points but he is not really great in his own end.

What would it cost to get the number 2 pick?
Fox, Hamiton and Ferland for Skinner, Hanafin/Lindholm and Hurricanes pick

Chia panics because BT just ripped the carpet from underhim once again on a player they covet. He signs Mike Green to a massive contract on July 1st burning any cap space they had left to fill out their roster.
TSN pans to Edmonton's warroom and we catch GG watching a ipad on the floor.
Oh that would be the perfect summer gift.

That #2 pick is locked in. I don't know if Dougie would get it done.

Based on the NHL draft pick value chart would it be worth it to move all four picks for one pick? Would the senators do it?
Based on Bob's list it would be
Ryan McLeod - C 6'2" - 25 goals, 70 points, 68 games
Would any team make a deal like this either way?
Pick Value 105 99 108 95 167 74 198 58 Total 326 22 324 Senators

The top 2 picks are head and shoulders above the rest of this year's draft class. I would think that it's not available.

Without knowing the return I don't really understand this. It is all about the return.
What if we traded him for Pietrangelo and Parayko?
or the rumored deal of it being a bigger deal to bring in Lindholm and Hanifin? Hanifin isn't a huge step down from Hamilton.

+/- and giveaway/takeaway isn't really a fair assessment between the two. EK faces better opposition, doesn't have the greatest d partner, and is on arguably a less talented team than Brodie.
If you are comparing both by offense and defense, I'd say defense they are both not amazing, but offense EK is far and away better than Brodie. EK would also improve our PP by a great deal as well.
Just my opinion.

Some speculation the Caps might dump Burakovsky to facilitate signing Carlson. Could be a good scoring dpeth pick up on the cheap. 3 mil cap hit for one more year then RFA.
Also fills the Treliving requirement of being a former 2013 1st round pick

Burakovsky would be a great “buy low” pick up - also Rasmus Anderson’s best friend I believe

If Ottawa is forcing teams to take Ryan to acquire EK the flames should be requiring teams to take brouwer to get Hamilton
