This nice weather this evening sure did make me wish I was at Spruce Meadows tonight, felt like it could've been a game night for sure

Anyone else get the email from the club about a virtual pub night next Saturday?

I got it also.

I just assume we beat Edmonton yesterday and probably 3-0.

A bit early being from 5-6pm, but does time really matter anymore? I'll put it in the calendar so I remember and tune in.

Also, the email contains a Big Rock discount. I don't think that it is exclusive or anything (I got it, and I'm a member but not a season ticket holder), and the CP Cavs folks here are pretty legit, so... : here's a link to the email if you didn't get it.

Credit to the club for doing their best to keep people engaged!

Today would have been perfect for some CPL footy at Spruce Meadows.

Or on the road in Edmonton.

I should be bouncing off the walls with anticipation ahead of tomorrow's home opener. Instead, I'm thinking we have a lost season as mass gathering restrictions will continue in place over the summer.

Boo....

We should be celebrating a Cavs' win right about now.

I had my Big Rock delivered, and I'm looking forward to the online event tonight, however.

Looking forward to the pub night tonight! Still debating whether I want to order from Big Rock though, I'm stocked with all kinds of other wobbly pops haha... that beer fridge or a jersey would be cool to win though

They were on time with my delivery today, and I was grateful that they were wearing masks and gloves. We chuckled a bit as I had to throw my ID to the guy from 6+ feet away! Odd times.

Haven't seen this posted yet, but I just listened to Tommy's hit on the radio from Friday. Interesting part about Dom Malonga. Tommy was sharing how different parts of the world are in very different phases when it comes to soccer returning. He mentioned that he was in contact with Malonga who is back to training with his team in Bulgaria in small groups. Pinder then asked him a bit more about Malonga.

Tommy shared that he was a maverick and drove him up the wall at times. He said that Malonga loved his time here and that he's a big North American sports fan (a big NBA and Packers fan, apparently). The club was working on bringing him back but then he got the offer in China, which was way beyond what the club could offer. That fell through due to the corona virus situation in China at the time. He said Malonga wanted to then come back to Calgary but they had already signed Jair Cordova. He then got the offer in Bulgaria. As well, his partner and child are living in Italy right now.

Anyway, thought I'd share that since there was discussion on this thread before about Malonga. The interview is here: https://www.sportsnet.ca/960/pinder-...ential-return/

^ Bumface might be referring to Kenney's re-opening plan (insert joke here) announced today, which leaves the door slightly ajar for some sort of a season.

Personally I think that the plan is premature and we're still a long way off before large-scale gatherings like sports and concerts are permitted. I would love to be wrong enough to be sitting at Spruce Meadows in September.

Looking forward to winning whatever bastardization of a season the league comes up with. UP THE CAVS!
