He's also said numerous times the team can't score. I personally think the defense is good enough if playing a team game and it's the offensive personnel that needs upgrading. Treliving has sunk a lot of assets into the defense so if it's not good enough, it's another reason he should probably get a pink slip. I think we should prepare for the possibility that assets will be given up to keep Gio.

It is interesting that Darryl has that to say about the D corps that Treliving was fairly prideful of

Iggy was traded.

Gio is not off limits to be exposed/traded.

Can anyone summarize what he said about the D? I missed that answer and it sounds like it was the most interesting thing he said.

I was just going by Geoff's comment. I maybe should have said that Darryl would feel that way

Is this being streamed somewhere? Checked FB and nothing. I really want to hear what spew comes out of BTs mouth. I don't think i've ever disliked a manager of any team that I support more.

Sounded to me that he thought the D is too young.

So our defence isn't good enough, and we can't score. Goaltending wasn't as good as hoped.

Other that that though, this team is in great shape.

Some coaches and GM's in pro sports will get in front of the media and talk about how they need to be better and take personal responsibility for the team's failures. You can debate the sincerity of these comments, personally I usually take it with a grain of salt.

Darryl is not the guy to give you those kind of comments. In fact, he's not going to give you any transparency at all so good luck figuring out what he really thinks.

Could not agree more this organization needs to have some intellectual honesty in that they have over-rated some of their players and would be best served in putting their faith in unproven prospects. But what they will do is put their faith in players who have consistently shown that they can't get to the playoffs or even contend once in the playoffs..

Sutter said Gio was held back playing with Andersson, and his stats before and after show exactly that. Basically Gio could not be himself playing with Andersson.

He also said that Andersson being paired up with Hanifin allowed them to grow and take on more responsibility.

I tuned in half way, so I might have missed what was said before.

Yeah I have found it funny how many people have been taking what he says as gospel since he has been back.

"We have played every young player who deserves to be played" leads to a CP meltdown about Phillips then lo and behold Phillips gets put in right after and Sutter has him out there giving him every chance possible to get his first goal.

People seem to forget that Sutter is the kind of coach who doesn't always shoot straight with the media and keeps his cards close to his chest. It's his way of doing things.

Presuming that Andersson and Valimaki would both take big steps this season seems to have really backfired on the team. Thankfully Andersson seems to have found his game and was doing well with Hanifin. Not sure what they'll do with their third pair next season.

Johnny says he wants to end his career in Calgary if Treliving and the owners are up to it.
Loves the city of Calgary. Says he would like to get the contract done if it comes up this summer.

Doesn't leave much room for doubt, really.
