2021 Cavalry FC and CPL season thread
Lucked out as I was already in Edmonton this weekend, but It was my first time seeing a CPL game outside of Spruce Meadows. It has made me appreciate the Spruce Meadows venue way more. Although the Tickets, Food, and Drinks are more affordable at Clark Field…absolutely everything else (including the home team) is better in Spruce Meadows.
It was cool seeing the Cavalry players getting photos with Stephanie Labbe and her gold medal as well.

Just got home now, I’m glad that the cheering and noise from the other Cavs fans translated to the broadcast because it truly felt like we were outnumbering the Eddies fans at times. Like FlamesFanStrandedinEDM, this was also my first CPL game away from Spruce Meadows and it definitely makes me appreciate what we have here in Calgary in terms of atmosphere, pitch quality, and certainly the team. Food and drink are definitely reasonably priced in Edmonton though, parking was $15 I believe. I really look forward to being able to go back there and watching the Cavs win again in the future.
Bring on the BC team!!!!

Weird that Pacific and Vancouver don't play their match until the 26th. I would've thought that they'd try to get all of the first round matches completed on the same weekend or something tighter like that.
