Ritual Doughnuts is closing in two weeks. That is unfortunate. They were arguably the best doughnuts in Calgary, imo

They did a whole bunch of earth work on that Deerfoot Meadows lot in 2021, and talk was that it was going to be a mega Canadian Tire (replacing the Southland location). But the lot has sat empty after all that grading was done.

Development permit for new "Automotive service, Grocery store, Office, Outdoor café, Restaurant - licensed, Retail store" was approved January 24th.

That's a surprise to no one. The store is deserted and depressing. It closes every day at 6PM instead of the 9PM mall close to save on paying staff.
Man I still miss Target in that location. Yes they weren't great when they started out but it got better and eventually it was good to have a discount dept. store/food retailer in Chinook.
