There's one conflict with the Hitmen schedule announced yesterday. Wednesday, January 18, the Hitmen are scheduled to play Prince George and the Flames are scheduled to play Colorado.

I believe Prince George is one of the worst draws for the Hitmen, so if they were going to move one Hitmen game to a smaller venue, that would be the logical one. That's right in the middle of PG's Alberta road trip and they play in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, so they could potentially swap the Hitmen and Tigers games if it is an unintended conflict.

I put all the announced Flames and Hitmen on a calendar to see how it all fits. They still need to fit 36 AHL and 9 Roughnecks games into the gaps.
Spoiler!

If they made the preseason games free, the price would just be added to your other tickets anyway.

I doubt the Hitmen will be playing in the Saddledome. The schedule lists the Saddledome for conveneince, no decision has been made.

Well I'm just glad the opener is against an out of division opponent since it's a guaranteed loss. So tired of losing the the Oilers or Canucks for what seems like nearly every season opener.

Have you been told this by someone in the know?

In 2019, the AHL schedule was announced on July 10. So, it could be any day. Maybe next week.

With the schedule posted, time to watch flights for around February 23rd and/or March 16th to Vegas.

March 20th and 21st for LA too.

Would love to swing a warm vacation this winter and catch a Flames game.

I mean, I'm dreaming and it won't happen... but I do love to dream.

The AHL starts later than most junior leagues and the NHL, so that makes sense.

Oilers first six games home stand

Canucks
Flames
Sabres
Hurricanes
Blues
Penguins

Out of these 6 teams, which one they can beat for sure? They could very well go 0-6 to start the season.

Buffalo is still looking pretty bad.
