This is far down the list, but wonder about uniforms too. Assume the Flames go retro red, but is there a need to change up home and away during a series? Flames wear red, Jets blue, for all games. Saves the equipment guys from washing multiple sets of jerseys, helmet and socks etc, and they will already have hands and time full with all the extra precautions and sanitizing the crap out of everything due to Covid. Same would go for all teams in the play in series and all the playoff series.
May inconvenience the color blind and those still watching on black and white televisions to have color vs color, but it too makes sense for some resource saving, and the marketing aspect of jersey color is wiped away with neutral site, empty arenas.
One team would have to change if the Flames ended up playing Chicago or Arizona in the West, or MTL, WSH, Florida or Carolina in the Cup finals (though I think Carolina said they are going to wear black in the playoffs).

I'm not sure what the problem with washing/cleaning multiple sets of jerseys is, they'd be washed after every game regardless, the only difference would be the color they are washing and storage space

Do they have washing machines or do the equipment staff take the jerseys down to the river? That might explain why there’s something in the water.

The issue isn't so much washing the jerseys, but all the extra helmets, gloves, etc that each player has to have with their home or away uniform. When teams travel they normally just have their road stuff, so to have to sub in and out home and away creates extra work to store the stuff and to let it dry (I'm assuming there aren't enough locker rooms so each team will have to pack up their gear and take it out so the next team can use it).
That said, I'm guessing they still do home and away -- I'm sure there's a psychological factor of playing in home versus road uniforms. Besides, it would suck to be the team stuck in white all series (although if it's us it would give us an excuse to rock the white retros).

Teams fight all year for the right of home ice advantage. The oilers suddenly getting that through the entire thing is obviously dumb even if they're not good there, so they should absolutely have to forfeit exclusive rights to their room and facilities. In fact they should have to go to world health while visiting teams use their equipment to offset some of the advantage.

So the three games they play, while getting swept by the Blackhawks?
But yeah, I hope that the dressing room situation is made fair, especially if there is a difference in quality.

In the NHLPA players poll that came out just before the lockdown, Rogers Place was named the arena with the best visitors' dressing room and the second best ice (behind Montreal).
Those are both probably major factors for why Edmonton will host the Conference Finals and SC Final.

Maybe they are worried in TO about the Jays also being in the World Series in Oct?
Assuming if no one can use the Oilers room, is it fair that anyone can use the large visitors room while someone else has to use a basic dressing room? Or are all teams going to shuffle in and out of the 3 or 4 auxiliary rooms they likely have?

I’m assuming the Oilers dressing room will become the dressing room for the “home team” or something like that.
I look forward to seeing the Flames celebrate winning the cup in the Oilers’ room.

At least once it’s down to 8 teams after the play in round, do they try to find space to give teams dedicated “dressing rooms” so they don’t have to keep moving gear in and out. Oilers get the former garbage room.

If anyone was going to opt out of this for publicly known reasons, TJ would be the one - for all the right reasons.

Damn tough spot for him to be in, Contract year and all. But the health of the family is pretty compelling.

You want your team to lose in the play-in so they can have a 12.5% chance of drafting first overall?
