Hahaha yes! People are talking about the Jags, Jags are selling merch and have people excited in Jacksonville.
You guys need to relax, what they are doing is genius. Bringing in a high profile hometown kid to be a positive influence in the gym and around the field who knows exactly how Urban works is not that bad.

"Genius" is a pretty curious way of describing what almost all non-Jags fans see as a coach who appears to be in over his head. They brought Tebow in for one reason and one reason only, which is to sell merch, so job done on that point. But if you think bringing in a guy who hasn't played an NFL snap in nine years to play a position he's never played before to act as some kind of "role model" (???) for the Urban Meyer way is genius...perhaps your definition of genius is a bit different from the norm. For most of us this appears to be a comical waste of time with limited football upside (ignoring the PR/merch upside) and significant downside if he actually makes the team.

So ignoring media coverage of a team, and a huge pay day in sales of merch. It's dumb to many, Rex Ryan thinks it's a great move, others who have worked with and know Tebow personally like the move.
Remember when the Flames brought Fleury back to play in a preseason game? I'm sure if you were a fan you wouldn't think it was dumb. #### they sold out a preseason game.
If Tebow makes the preseason roster, and the Jags seem more tickets than they ever have for a nothing game then that's more money.... The Jaguars are being run as a business to make money and get as much media focus away from the star rookie quarterback and on someone who has nothing to lose.
It's definitely not orthodox, I agree and if he never plays a game for the Jags they mostly sold thousands of jerseys for a player that will never have played hahahaha money in the owners pockets.

Tebow is just good for business.
Quote:
It's the hottest NFL player prop bet in Las Vegas: over/under 2.5 touchdowns this season for Tim Tebow.
Last week, after the former Heisman Trophy winner signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a tight end, Station Casinos in Las Vegas put the Tebow touchdown prop on the board and took instant action, including a $2,000 limit bet on the under. Station's sportsbook has had an over/under prop on passing touchdowns for new Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford since late March. In just one week, the amount wagered on the Tebow prop had already eclipsed the handle on the Stafford prop.

On paper this is the best offense the Titans have ever had. Let's see how much Julio has left because this could be a steal.

Dude just needs to stay healthy, feels like he's been fighting the injury big for years. I'm happy to have him out of the NFC South regardless

I’m trying to think of a high-profile QB’s career fading into irrelevance as much as Matt Ryan’s.
Also it seems to me Jones is exactly the type of player the#win-it-all mode#Ravens should've been fixated on.

Forgot to comment on this last night, but is it just me or is that return extremely underwhelming? As a Cards fan the assets we gave up for D-Hop felt like it was a trade in the anamoly category, then the Falcons go and trade JJ for much less? At least the Texans got a serviceable RB in Johnson.

You would be choosing to ignore Johnson's horrific contract if you felt the Texans got more. But Julio appears to be made of glass and he also has a bad contract right now, a contract that the Falcons are not even eating a dime of which is a big win for them. I think people are more in love with the idea of Julio rather than the reality that he's likely to be injured for anywhere from 6-10 games a season now.
End of the day though the Titans, while improving their roster, didn't really improve their Super Bowl chances. That is still gonna be one of the worst defenses in the league. But I guess if you're going to have a trash defense you might as well try and win 41-38 every week.

Not a lot to look forward to for Falcons fans. Ryan is not getting better at 36 years old and now he's lost his favorite receiver. Pitts could be good but TE's usually take a few seasons to hit their stride. Just seems like an organization spinning their wheels.

Why is there a common misconception that Julio Jones misses a lot of games?
His last 7 seasons:
9 Games
15 Games
16 Games
16 Games
14 Games
16 Games
15 Games
Last season was the first time he missed more than 2 games.

Yep, also seems like a team who drafts how people draft fantasy teams. Always had the offensive weapons, on paper they look like a playoff contender, especially at the skill positions. But then you watch them and they just get dominated in the trenches..just kind of a soft team in general.

Interesting article on the Athletic about NFL teams worried about how many players with be vaccinated in time for camp next month.
Agents will be part of the process, too. Multiple agents told The Athletic they are pushing their players to get vaccinated. One agent said he’s making a competitive argument to his players. Their careers are short enough, he said. Why would they risk missing games because they’ve either caught COVID-19 or been exposed to it? Another agent is far more blunt, saying he flat-out tells his clients they are “fu**** idiots” if they choose to go into this season unvaccinated.

Hopefully this motivates more of the dummies to get their vaccines.

The NFL and NFLPA have issued Covid-19 guidelines for players ahead of the 2021 season, and life will be very, very different for players who decide not to get vaccinated, from those who do.
A joint agreement between the league and the union, sent out to teams this week details how players are allowed to operate if they receive the vaccine compared to those who don’t. Here is the full list of restrictions players will adopt this season.

Just because they are good at sports doesn’t mean they are smart. I know understand why Darnold isn’t a very good QB. You need a bit of smarts to play QB at a high level in the NFL.
