why is Southgate starting 3 (!) players who aren't even going to the tournament (White, Godfrey, Ward-Prowse)? Seems weird. Maybe he doesn't know yet who to take instead of TAA? Should be easy enough, given the question marks around Hendersons fitness it should be Ward-Prowse IMO.
All eyes on Brazil Tuesday night following their game with Paraguay when the players will state whether or not they will be playing in the Copa America which is now to be hosted there.
Hoping they do the right thing and withdraw as a big FU to Bolsanaro who has been trying to get their coach Tite fired for a while now putting pressure on the President of their FA to replace him.
Problem is, the President of the FA who persuaded Bolsanaro to host the Copa America has just been suspended for 30 days for sexual harassment.
Peak Concacaf tonight. Mexico vs USA in the Concacaf Nations League final. Pretty sure there was only about 5 minutes of actual soccer played in the second half of extra time. US Soccer calls in a favour and gets awarded a really cheap penalty on a play where the Mexican defender clearly got the ball. Mind you Mexico missed their own penalty later on in the half. Fans throwing things all over the field, fans running on the field, ref lost control of the match. Pretty easy to dislike both those teams
Edit: Mexico should be punished pretty hard for the actions of their fans. Throwing stuff and actually injuring a US substitute and then chanting what I think were homophobic chants and the mat was stopped for a few minutes. Hard yikes

But the Mexican fans are American.

So its white, which makes me think Maguire's health is still a concern

I went down the rabbit hole of Youtube and found some old world cup draw ceremonies were recently uploaded. (1990 to 2002) They're pretty funny looking back, especially USA 94 in Las Vegas! France 98 was fun too with the player reps. Definitely not fancy productions as they are now.
Spoiler!
