Yep - absolutely bonkers that Israel can simultaneously offer a ceasefire and also vow to invade Rafah soon - expressly stating that the mission will continue with or without a "ceasefire".

How many more dead civilians when the Rafah bombing begins? 10,000 more? 20?

You just know they have a plan to rescue the rest of the hostages, though, right? Right? Crickets since Feb 14th. You know how many the IDF has rescued? Three. Presumably they could have claimed 6, if they hadn't shot those other 3 themselves.

Apparently 70 of the remaining 130 have been killed by Israeli bombings(grain of salt, Hamas video of hostage claim).

So ya, if you have loved ones as hostages, the IDF is not helping, seems to have no interest in helping, and couldn't care less about their loved ones if they get a chance to kill a Hamas member. Every day the bombing continues the chance of more hostages being killed increases. Make no mistake, the Israeli government has written them off in their blood lust.

Yup, it was never about the hostages. The end goal is to forcibly evict every Palestinian that remains out of the region after destroying it indiscriminately with bombs and move as many Israeli citizens into the region as quickly as possible.

Could a Trudeau or Biden government ever not support Israel? Is that possible with the pressure that's happening or are they bound no matter what?

Oh look....jewish students protesting Israeli genocide alongside other protesters and doing so in peace. But bibi told us they wanted to murder and kill all jews...

Quote:
It’s absurd to say that they are gonna bring in the National Guard and the NYPD to protect Jews when it’s actually Jews who are being arrested,” he added.

Sarah, a Jewish student at Columbia who asked for only her first name to be published, was among those arrested for taking part in the encampment. She was held by the NYPD for eight hours, with her hands in zip ties, after they moved in on the camp on Thursday. She was suspended the next day, but snuck back onto campus a few days later to take part in a Passover Seder celebration with fellow protesters.

“It was definitely one of the more joyful experiences I’ve had at Columbia,” she told The Independent. “So many of us got arrested or suspended, it was really nice to see so many Jewish faces at the Seder.

These protests are amazing and hopefully can make a positive difference.

Colombia president cuts ties with Israel for having a "genocidal president". Hopefully other countries follow suit.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/01/world...tam/index.html

Also had some friends who visited Mexico and even there they are holding protests. Is the entire world Antisemitic like Netanyahu and the posters in here want you to believe or is Israel just a cruel country led by a genocidal president?

Probably not a good look for those that compared these protests to those in Nazi Germany, as I’m quite sure it’s been suggested multiple times that comparing jews to nazis is antisemitism.

That aside, I appreciate that these protestors are being given the chance to speak for themselves instead of having politicians speak for them.

Senator Tom Cotton just called these protests

“These ‘Little Gazas’ are disgusting cesspools of antisemitic hate”

Oh the irony.

One of Israel's largest trade partners, Turkey, has reportedly halted all imports and exports between the countries.

Turkey has not formally announced the suspension and it remains unclear what the necessary conditions are for trade to resume.

The row will probably deepen tensions between the two formerly close allies, which have deteriorated since the start of the crisis in Gaza.

Something to be proud of for Turkey. Especially considering how warmly Hamas leaders were greeted by Erdogen.

So what are we at right now? Let's see.

Palestine - All civilians, including women and children are Hamas.
Iran - funders of Hamas
Lebanon - Allies of Hamas
Egypt - Enablers of Hamas
Qatar - Mouth Piece of Hamas
South Africa - Legal Arm of Hamas
UNRWA - Teachers of Future Hamas
ICJ - Kangaroo Court of Hamas
ICC - FBI of Hamas? (Sounds menacing, I like it)
Turkey - Warm Blanket of Hamas???

I think you can include Canada, the US, and basically every country that has ever given aid to Palestinians under “Funders of Hamas.” That seems to be the way the logic goes with this type.

Oh so you're making excuses or what?

Erdogen, a despot loser, is openly supporting a terrorist organization that advocates raping and murdering women & children.

The rest of your post is more of your typical drivel.

You openly support a terrorist state, what's the difference?

I mean in this conflict, most states are behind Hamas, with very few supporting Israel.

Erdogan has chosen the lesser of 2 evils.

Erdogen's replacement has openly come out and said Hamas is a terrorist organization.

Turkey is choosing a new direction, and it isn't with terrorist supporters.

Not sure what 'most states' should mean.

As you may not be aware, Turkey holds free elections at regular intervals. The next one, in 2028, doesn't have a predetermined outcome, so as of right now, Erdogan doesn't have an assigned replacement.

I wouldn't say that. Many states are behind the Palestinian people, not wanting to see them getting bombed into oblivion and don't much care for Hamas or the Israeli government right now.

I mean you could substitute Erdogen for Azure, get rid of the word despot and the sentence would still not be unreasonable.

But do carry on with your morals spiel.
