Stajan plays a role and he plays it well. I wish people would stop incessantly complaining about him as if he’s some anchor the team is having to drag around. If the Flames are going to challenge for a championship, they are going to need players like Matt Stajan, both on and off the ice.
Well said.

No argument here but I see the Jankowski s and the Mangiapane s as a better option than Stajan outside of faceoffs as Matt is still a good faceoff guy.
I just like out other options better and they've worked hard to get called up and get the small amount of ice time they get.

I like that these callups have handled the time and situations well and am wishing Glen gives them more responsibility as they seem ready to handle it.

Go flames go.

Someone's gotta score those series winning goals. In the last 20 years only two Flames have done that. Maybe Marty can lace them up for the POs as well.

The unfortunate reality is that there will be other injuries by the time Versteeg/Frolik are back.

Someone else will be out of the lineup, and the silver lining is that whichever depth players (mangiapane, hathaway, stajan, lazar, brouwer) are healthy will have a spot.

I am glad that we have some veterans on the 4th line and I understand you have to pay higher salaries as a result.

I think we are paying 2 or 3 million more than I would prefer, but I can live with that.
