What. A. Ride. Still buzzing after that game. Monday can’t come soon enough.
Kawhi really bout to end the warriors dynasty like he ended the Heats. That’s legend stuff right there. He’s figured out the warriors defence and getting his mid range to go like he was in the previous rounds. The warriors have no answer to Kawhi Leonard. That 17 pt 3rd quarter by him was masterful.
What a moment this is
I’m so happy that many non-basketball fans are enjoying this. Amazing how this team has brought together the country in a way, truly Canada’s team!

I never expected to develop a hatred for Steph Curry (assumed that would go to Draymond Green). His jumping into guys and kicking out his feet while shooting to draw fouls is pathetic. Soccer flopping level pathetic. It was so satisfying to see him get called for it last night.
Upset? She’s curious if he will get a ring because she is Chinese and she’d like to see a player with a Chinese background get one? Not sure what was so hard to follow along with there lol he has a HUGE following in the Asian community overall.
I read furious instead of curious...my bad

I agree that its cool to see so many non-regular bball fans get excited...
What is really cool is that Vince really started a lot of kids playing BBall in the toronto area (Steve Nash too), leading to some of the best basketball development in Canada ever.
This run by the Raptors/Kawhi/Lowry is going to amplify that further.
some fun links of the Raptor fans after Game 4 at Oracle
Anyone know what the betting line is for Durant for Finals MVP? Kinda want to hedge it so I have a consolation prize in case this goes terribly wrong.
Figured it out... $200 for peace of mind.
If the Raptors win, I'm happy because the Raptors won.
If Durant comes back and the Warriors win, and Durant wins MVP, I can console myself with $10,000.
... Seems reasonable.

Honest question: Does Durant make that much of a difference?
A healthy Durant does, but it's hard to imagine he'd be very healthy if he came back. You never know though, Klay came back and didn't look like he was injured at all.
GOD YOU REALLY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST POSTER ON CP.
Please do not derail this thread with your BS, it’s been great talking basketball all year with people who actually care about the raptors and this sport , especially during this magical run. Please take your BS somewhere else.
Also you are wrong, from a neutral perspective the 2015 finals and last year’s finals were much worse. Have you just started watching basketball? If you want to go back even further the Lakers-Magic final was also worse. The Spurs dismantling the Heat in 5 games in 2014 also was not super entertaining.
Your views on this sport are like a 12 year olds who just recently started casually observing. Just be quite and let the adults talk
Honest question: Does Durant make that much of a difference?
Yes, in so many ways.
He's a creator, so he takes the ball out of the hands of guys like Thompson and Green as primary playmaking options.
He's such a long and sharp shooter, so he can swing those contested late shot clock prayer plays as well ast anyone on either team including Kawhi or Curry. He can get to his spots and get a clean shot away every time. You're also forced to put Kawhi or Siakam on him defensively, opening up someone else to take advantage.
He takes minutes away from a guy like McKinnie who's been a total liability at both ends.
He's a strong help defender who would give guys like Ibaka and Siakam more difficulty finishing around the paint. He's also a strong primary defender who can bother Kawhi's shot.
He's an elite shooter who spaces the floor. With him on the court you have two guys in Thompson and Durant that you absolutely can't leave for a second to double team Curry. Completely different dynamic that allows them to run their pick n roll. The Raptors' Box+1 that everyone is talking about is only viable when neither Durant nor Thompson are on the floor.
All that said I'd rather watch Kawhi vs Curry than have Durant be the centre of attention while Curry defers to him.
