Default March 10 with four games.

The Sunday OOT is a quiet one with the Predators-Wild
game being the important one in the western conf. playoff race.
The surging Islanders should be watched as their entire California
road trip is being shown on Sportsnet.

Gawd, Letang is terrible these days. He could not have set McDavid up any better.

Penguins are a train wreck and a cautionary tale of not knowing when it’s over. Hextall made some bad moves but he was right that they needed to let a few players like Geno go.

I don't think even Sid can save this iteration of the Penguins. The Oilers should be able to really pad their stats today.

Really tough when you have a player like Crosby or Ovechkin. It seems like teams believe they have to somehow wedge that window open for as long as possible.
Seeing Crosby not in the playoffs sucks though.

Why isn’t that a high sticking major?

It was. The Penguins player got an instigator.

You know you suck when you can't even score a goal on Calvin Pickard.

It was a double minor. Not a major.

Penguins will bottom out and get a top three pick. Then next year they'll be picking first overall. So says Bettman and the NHL.

Really though what the Flames did with Iginla is the right way to do it. Why have him flounder on a bad team for the remainder of his career just so you can say he played for only one team? Best thing that ever happened to Bourque was being traded to the Avs so he could finish his career drinking out of the cup. Crosby has won his share of cups but it would be nice for him to go out playing meaningful hockey. That team isn't going to be better next season.

This Oilers Penguins game is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Damn, I was hoping we’d get to enjoy the Oilers losing to their 3rd bottom feeder in a row today. Oh well. Cup parade is back on I guess.

The Wild lead 3-2 in the third period. The Wild were down 2-1 with Hartman scoring the go ahead goal with 12.5 minutes left in the third period.

O'Reiley scores with two minutes left in regulation time, 3-3.

Minnesota needs the points so they pulled Fleury and went 4-on-3 in OT.
Paid off, but I wonder if they know they don't get the loser point if they lose this way.

If they give up another point to the streaking Preds, does it matter? They need to gain points by every means on the Predators in particular.

No, but I was asking if they likely knew the rules.

Boldy and Fleury didn't by the sounds of it.

Christ I'm English and even I know you lose the point if you pull the goalie, what I don't know is why the league would want to discourage it, makes no sense
