The concerning part for me is this looks like the Flames from last season after the initial bump they got from the Sutter hiring.

…but it shouldn’t be surprising. They’re the same freaking team. Can’t be mad at a team that is under-talented for not being talented enough. It’s not like they aren’t working hard, it’s that they’re just not good enough.

I propose we stop talking about/pining for centers not on the team outside of the trade thread. As one of the people who hates bennett/wanted eichel the most. It's just annoying.

I wish Dube or Monahan would do something one game. Dube should be in the press box.

Pitlick, Richardson and Lewis have all been nothing but plug fillers on a line. But they fit the bill which is Sutter hockey, sadly I don't think we'll see any farm guys get a real shot unless significant injuries plague the flames.

Or, both statements are false.

He wasn't good but he's by far the worst on the ice.

I sense a bump of the Brad thread coming.

A lot of halfassery in this game. Lazy passes/clears, dumb plays. The pp was the worst in a while. Spend half the time doodling in your end just to dump it in. Makes sense.

Vladar deserved two points.

Rest of the team deserved zero.

Just put Valimaki back in. I believe we’re 6-0 with him in the lineup.

The real blame lies with anyone who said shutout partway into the third.

If I were Darryl I'd jumble up the lines pretty significantly

Gaudreau - Dube - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
Monahan - Zary - Coleman
Lucic - Ruzicka - Pitlick

Kylington - Tanev
Hanifin - Gudbranson
Valimaki - Andersson

We're not 20 games in, and we're 4 games above .500 and in control of our destiny.

The grand proclamations after losses (where we collected points, no less) is really annoying. Never change, CP.

Too much negative hype in here. 2nd half of a back to back, with the backup in net, got a point in a close and hard fought game. Good effort. Brush up on a few things and we will trounce the Sens.

This is the team anticipated. The game is a race to 3. Flames have come up short. Expected for the lineup this team has. Still an additional scorer away.

I think some people are forgetting how bad things were last season.

This is not the same group that bored us to death, not the same group that seem so disinterested last year.

In a bit of a funk right. But that happens and you know what, they’re still earning points and are in a good spot in standings.

This has been a fun season so far and i cant wait for the next game.

The problem is he looks terrible out there and the stats also say he's not doing well. I guess do it anyways but it just doesn't seem that straightforward.
