I will always wonder what could have been had he not been bag skated and injured. He rushed himself to start the season here and we should have been more patient with him.

I would have loved for him to stayed the season, playing every few games and teaching the younger guys some more of the game. For his $1 AAV, he was the best coach we had!

The way his career ended here is a sore spot as he clearly had a little more in the tank had things been handled better from the start with leadership, coaches and trainers.

Yup.

Met him at that flames event and the wife claims my smile in the photo with him is my all time best photo/smile. She’s likely right, what a day/photo/moment.

They had picture in picture with the commentary booth for the second period as Jagr joined them. Was really cool, the commentators were so star struck it was hilarious.

I'm about 20 months away from playing pickup hockey in my 50s. I don't feel anywhere near super human. Not even subpar human. To play at Jagr's level over the age of 50 one must be beyond super human.

Flames coaches and GMs have always been bottom of the league (except for Darryl) since the 89 cup but nobody talks about that.

It’s still on my list to get a Flames one, the guy is arguably my favourite hockey player ever. I argue with myself about it all the time. His love for the game is on another level, and that video of his mom just ticked another box for me.

Czech Trek man...getting Petr here to see Jagr was awesome!

Its like one of the few things when I'm an extreme pessimist I can look back on and think "We did something Great."

And Jagr's jersey is up in my office.

What a silly thing to say in relation to Jagr.

He thought he was done.

He took the summer off.

When Calgary called he signed and got himself back into the best shape he could, and returned on his terms.

It just didn't work out.

Looking to point fingers on everything is what we do now, but lets not tarnish Jagr's time in Calgary by making this into a Flames broke Jagr story.

Jesus.

Further to the post above, we have to highlight has last NHL goal and his only with the Flames vs Detroit. It was a beauty and his burst of speed was impressive.

Also his lone appearance on After Hours on HNIC as his time with the Flames was also excellent!
