Carlson, who did not respond to a request for comment, has now been fired by all three cable networks, having been pushed out from his previous stints at CNN and MSNBC.
Don't debate the merit of the point at all. Speak with absolute authority on the black experience as a black man.
I'm not even sure I disagree with Lemon's position, but the way he approaches the discussion is not a journalistic approach. Address the point, paraphrase it back, and ask questions back that show the problems with the points that Vivek made. It's why he sucks as a journalist, he was never interested in actually having a meaningful debate or discussion.
When Jon Stewart, a comedian, is a better journalist than you, it's time to stop.

Umm Jon Stewart is probably better than 90% of journalists out there.

He asks good questions sometimes, and then other times he is simply there to embarrass his interviewee with gotcha moments. It's not a high bar to clear and Lemon failed every time.

Showing the absurdity of an ill informed argument through having actual evidence in hand isn’t a “gotcha”. It’s what’s needed when politicians are spouting off talking points.
His detailed intellectual approach to the humor is exactly why he’s appreciated.
Respectfully, I encourage you to show a John Stewart example of a gotcha. I recently saw him tear down a second amendment fluffer and it was thoroughly backed throughout.

Would rather have someone younger but anyone is better than the rapist or the Florida moron.
It's depressing that out of a nation of 330+ million people these are the 'best' options being offered by either party. I feel bad for American voters in some way, neither option is very inspiring or enticing. I thought we had it bad in Canada.

I mean we do have it bad in Canada, it's just even more sad for the US, mathematically speaking.

Well, anti-vaxxer Robert Kennedy Jr., is running for the Dem nomination.
CNN interviewed 4 Fox News watchers. Showed them that Fox paid out Dominion and what came out in discovery. Then asked "Would you still watch Fox News?" They all said "Yes".
I wouldn't be surprised if Murdock looked over the facts, figures and sponsors and said "People don't watch Fox News because of Tucker, they watch Tucker because of Fox News"
I think the base is for the brand and not what the brand is selling.
Fox would need Murdoch to direct them to do it, which means Murdoch would have to be ready to lose a ton of viewers, which is exceedingly unlikely.
Anyone that wanted to preserve any credibility as a journalist has left already (Wallace, Sheppard etc)... those that remain are either willing to choke down the koolaid or are true believers.
Murdoch would A) need a "come to god moment" where there is a realization of the corrosive effect Fox has had on democracy writ large and, more importantly, B) he would need to give a damn.

I'm not sure why any legitimately talented and successful person would bother putting themselves through the political meat grinder. It draws a certain personality, and this is the result.

I think it's going to be hard for people to get excited for re-electing Biden. But it would be pretty satisfying to see Trump defeated by "Sleepy Joe" again. I don't think Trump ego could take another defeat to Biden.
