And the Flames are saving them for a playoff beatdown! (may the hockey gods make it so).

When I looked at this game, it is the biggest test in the rest of our schedule.
We'll know who's who in the zoo after this one.

Of course, Gaudreau and Monahan could single handily win any game themselves but in case they don't have a dominant game hopefully the 3M - 1M + 1S Line doesn't skip a beat.

I've watched the Capitals a few times this year while living here in DC. I went to their game last week against the predators. Sure they're number one in the league right now, but nothing about them really scares me as a fan of the opposition. Ovechkin looks uninterested. Most of the time he just hangs around at prime scoring spots, waiting to get fed passes from his team mates. Their passing always seems disjointed, their players are slow.
I really wanted to go to this game, but unfortunately, a flu has me sidelined. So I'll be watching this from home. If the Flames can play their game, we'll easily win this one.

I foresee Bennett with two goals. He will have his game face on playing against the top line.

Tkachuckless in DC. Brooks Orpik rest easy!
Since he has a day off maybe he can slew foot Spicer and elbow Tillerson in the face.

This will be a very tough match up, especially with our depleted lineup. Our best chance is to keep it a low scoring defensive game and try to grind out a win that way. Anything is possible with Elliott in net. If we can get at least a point out of this one, I'll be happy.

Also the Capitals lost 4-2, 4-2 and 5-2 to the last 3 pacific teams they faced a week ago. Score more than 2 and we'll win!

I would think that the Capitals should be somewhat motivated to get back on their game as the Penguins and Jackets are right with them. Than again it still didn't stop them from losing to Nashville on Friday. Recently it does seem like teams with a bit more urgency to their game have been a challenge for them. Hopefully the Flames can turn in another solid effort and walk out of here with points of some sort.
Realistically 4 points on this 3 game road trip would be a hell of a trip. This is a really tough road trip given that the team is playing every other day, and there's a lot of mileage to cover.

Washington is a great team. I will not be upset if they lose as long as they play well. Just keep playing your game and let the chips fall where they may.
