How many laps of the offensive zone should he do for those two to catch up?

Gaudreau- Monahan-Bennett
Tkachuk-Duchene-Lindholm
Bennett-Backlund-Neal
Jankowski-Ryan-Frolik
??
Scoring balance (although I assume at least one roster player would be going the other way (so substitute in Mangiapane or something in there).

Id put Duchesne in second line wing to start.
Another center gives them options. The second line has been up and down in consistency and has had a revolving door of wingers anyway. The Janko line seems to have a good thing going, I wouldn't want to split them up just yet.
I don't know how Duchesne is defensively, but if he's not that great, it could muddy the waters a tad.

You have Bennett twice, which sorts out where Eatbread or Hathaway slots in.
That said, I'd guess one of the roster forwards is going back in a trade for Duchene. Probably Bennett (boo), or maybe Frolik (meh)? Guess it depends what they're after, and what the other pieces are.
Gaudreau- Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Duchene-Neal
Jankowski-Backlund-Frolik
Mangiapane-Ryan-Hathaway

Oops, too much man. Let me try again, with a different combo:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Bennett-Duchene-Tkachuk
Jankowski-Backlund-Neal
Frolik-Ryan-Hathaway

Treliving should include Mike Stone in a trade to Ottawa for Duchene, to help them resign Mark Stone and keep him away from the other contenders.

He isn't going to win the Selke, but he isn't a liability. He is really good at face-offs which can be applied to the defensive aspect.

Context goes both ways. I'm not saying BSD has been notably better as of recently, but I think he deserves as much slack as Smith got through his first 25 games, which was a metric f-ton.
|
BSD 0.852 since allstar break isn't great.
Don't fret so much. Rittich will have the opportunity to set things right again. In the mean time Smith is playing pretty good and winning games.
It's not horrible.

I don't think he can be traded so long as he is on IR.

Players can be traded on the IR, just not bought out.

This looks pretty delicious. My preference would be to swap janko and frolik though!

This is how I some what see the line up if the Flames ever traded for Duchene which I doubt will happen. It's no the prettiest line up but it's whatever

I don't think Flames need another centre, but they could use a trigger man:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Backlund-Stone
Bennett-Jankowski-Frolik/Neal (until you trade one)
Mangiapane/Lazar-Ryan-Hathaway
Their PP gets better with another legit goal scorer added to the lineup.
