Beliefs can be fluid, sure.
If you’re somebody who calls the Bible their highest authority, then you’re kind of stuck. Pretty antithetical positions.

So you're saying people who are gender fluid are hypocrites?
You do know that people can convert their religion? Or even disagree on aspects of scripture with their church, right?

I'm well familiar with hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance. It played a major role in renouncing my Catholicism.

Ya then it is not a religious belief. It is just personal bigotry.
This is his church https://www.abc27.com/national/menno...inclusion/amp/

Among the changes, pastors will be allowed to perform same-sex marriages, and the denomination has committed to forming an LGBT constituency group.

Reimer says “#### that ####, my religion does not accept this LGBTQ2 ####”. His own religion shows that it is not a religious belief he has.

Someone should tell all those sects then!
And which edition of the Bible are we talking about? King James? Or do we go back to original translations? Just to be clear.

Which is exactly the point. He's not making this stand because his religion told him too and he's powerless to make his own decision. He did this because it's what he believes, and he's just using his faith as something to hide behind

If you can just have individual beliefs that somehow become religion I have to make some serious changes to my 2022 Tax Return.

Sure, when 10 million people start following Reimer I will concede he has created a new religion. Right now he is just a bigot and society has traditionally not deemed any random bigot as starting a new religion.

Fun that these guys value liberty and freedom of speech so much that they categorize speech critical of someone’s belief as being equivalent to imprisoning them.

Maybe I missed it, where did Reimer say he was powerless?

It doesn't matter whether his position is religious or not. He was asked to conform or be considered an Inclusivity Heretic. As far as I know, he was never interested in discussing his beliefs one way or the other prior.
The problem is the jersey wearing is no longer a show of support - it's now a test of compliance and conformity.

Well this is progress at least, you seem to have dropped this religious ruse.
Your complaint is that individuals should be allowed to discriminate against whatever groups they deem individually they dislike. And they should be allowed to demonstrate their discrimination against these groups by refusing to wear a hockey jersey for 15 minutes.

No its a test of are you a decent human being and James said no I am not and used his religious beliefs to hide behind the fact he's a piece of trash.

That's how it works for these wackjobs. His freedom of speech matters when it comes to being intolerant, but your freedom of speech calling it out, now that's the real issue here

No, and I think that’s a pretty disingenuous question for pretty obvious reasons. And if not, just think about it for like a minute.
