No Hamonic, Brodie or Bennett at morning skate.
Backlund at 1C? Yikes.

Everyone knows Tkachuk - Lindholm - Gaudreau should be the top line.

Backlund is too slow and not willing to go into the dirty areas.

Nice to see Backs rewarded for all his good play lately.

Yeah I really like the top 6, Backlund can absolutely hang with good players.

Monahan shoukd do a better job tapping in Tkachuk’s passes that Mangiapane has been missing, and as long as this group can get out of their own end they should be good.

I would like line three to be Dube-Ryan-Frolik, but I’m sure they’ll get blended at some poit during the game anyways.

And as always, excited for more Kylington!

How crappy were the Blues this time last year? They were a dumpster fire and they won the cup. I still believe in this Flames team.

Also, can't wait to hear all about Cale Makar tonight, and see his family in the stands, and have Ryan Leslie interview them. You know, the stuff Altitude Sports should be doing for their away broadcast but instead the home team will do it for them.

The Blues fired their crappy coach and found Binnington out of nowhere, effectively solving their two most glaring issues.

The problems with this team run MUCH deeper.

SB - SM - AM

Yes. This is a poor decision by Bill Peters. Backlund is an offensive black hole this year.

This worked before, I am going to try it again. We are going on a winning streak dammit, I am going to predict it in pictures.

He goes to the dirty area in front of the net. He doesn't hand out much punishment there, but he goes there and takes a lot.

Definitely gonna have to wait and see tonight, as it does look odd...

But I'll bet Backs getting where Johnny can make him dangerous won't be the issue. What you mentioned later, hitting the ####ing net, is more of what I'm worried about.

Backlund is just a placeholder. They are clearly planning on moving Dube up one line every night until he is the number one centre.

I don't think anyone can make Backlund dangerous these days. Hope to be proven wrong.

Let not get lost on two massively positive developments.

We have two of our best players on each of the first two lines.

Monahan and Tkachuk playing together, which is the matchup I've wanted to see since late last season.

I hope these stay static all night. Please, Peters, don't relapse. Stay the course.
