I don’t know the real answer, but my guess is Brady wants to cash in on his last couple of years.
Much like everyone likes to joke about the Lightning/Panthers getting players because “taxes”, there may be something there with this decision.
2 years, 50 million and living in Florida and “tax reasons” probably played a huge factor in Brady’s decision.

Yeah I'll admit I was dead wrong on Brady, I can't believe he left. I think part of it is reading this same stuff with Brees every time and I just knew he'd never leave, I guess I assumed Brady was the exact same scenario.
Brady x 2
Ryan x 2
Bridgewater x 2
..divisional games going to be very interesting this year

Saints sign Emmanuel Sanders. They badly needed that move, the WR core was basically Michael Thomas and a bunch of plugs.

Foles and Trubisky are both underwhelming. I'm not making excuses for Trubisky but this is no real upgrade from one to the other. Foles lost his job to Gardner Minshew.
I'm undoubtedly biased, but I'd still take Trubisky over other quarterbacks in the league. He has a winning record in the league, he has had one good and one bad year in the league since he has started, and he is still on his last year of his rookie contract.

I think the moral of the story though is most NFL teams are pretty poor at evaluating QBs, ironic since it's the most valuable position in all of sports.

Mahomes was the one seen as the project. Watson should have been the pick absolutely

Brady has made around $300 million in his career and his wife has made 2x that, so the $ aspect is really so that he can keep the upper end of the salary scale for QBs, so that those other QBs can get paid in the league.
He gets out from the brilliant yet demanding Belichek and can do what he wants in Tampa with his shady personal trainer sidekick. And, it's a challenge and almost a hobby to figure out if he can do this solo.

Has Jadaveon priced himself completely out of the market? No news about him at all, you’d figure he would be a priority signing for teams.

What happens when the season is cancelled...do all these contracts just move to next season (whenever that is)

Maybe a little early to speculate on the NFL cancelling it's season as they have until late July before they really need to start team activities.

Yeah I'm still holding out hope the season can happen, still a long ways away. At the very least I'd hope there's no rush to make a decision right away, too many unknowns at present. I totally get those who think UFA going ahead as normal is seen as in bad taste, all this money getting tossed around while unemployment is skyrocketing amidst the pandemic, and people are dying. But personally I've found it to be a nice sense of normalcy, and distraction through all this. I hope it continues, at least until they know for sure the season would be scrapped.

With it being Teddy B time in Carolina now, the Panthers send QB Kyle Allen to the Redskins for a 5th round pick. Now just need to see where Cam goes

Rams new look. Blue and Gold.
Secondary logo, Ram head, which was one of the original logos now recolored, may gain some traction, as the LA logo, which, given the C looking horn, looks far too close to logo lighting bolt (and the team name) of the team they are sharing the city name with and the same stadium with.

I like how their primary logo for the helmet has a big L on top of it..seems fitting for that logo.

The new Rams logo is awful. Almost indistinguishable from the Chargers at a glance. I have no clue what they were thinking.
