Also: tiny guys of interest should be a thing.
1. Kasper Simontaival
2. Roni Hiroven
3. Zion Nybek (all the rage)
4. Marat Khusnutdinov probably going in the 1st. Exposive is an understatement.

We're slugging away. With the likelihood of an early June draft hopefully diminishing, we're a little less stressed about it. I'd say were about 75% complete the construction of it, but we also have a few other things we want to roll out in sync with it!
Long story short, there will be one with the latest arrival date being in early June.

The more I read, the more I really like Askarov. If the Flames get a pick out of the top 10 and he's still available, I think he would be.the guy to pick. An elite goalie would be huge for this franchise.

If all of the top end centers are gone, I would consider it.
Personally, I am a little leery at drafting a Russian goalie so high. Granted, we've been having a tad more success at getting Russians to sign here, but if given the chance I'd rather go for a guy that can be a top 6 forward and can be added to the core that we already have.

We have both Parsons and Wolf in the wings, wasting a 1st on a goalie would be bad.

Askarov won't get out of 10 IMO. And the hype machine is far bigger than last years goalie dynamo Spencer Knight who was also the 2nd coming of goalie Jesus.

I couldn't see Askarov getting by Chicago. They don't have any options other than UFA, and they would want him the most.

I like Parsons but he’s tracking the wrong direction at this point

He won’t get to Chicago . After beating oilers they will be drafting in the 16th spot

I have very little faith in Parsons and as excited as I am about Wolf, he still has a lot to prove.
Depending on where the Flames pick and who slides, if this kid was still available at say 6 i would pick him.

For the early morning crowd, we just dropped our 2020 NHL Draft Guide.
Heck of an effort from the group this year, especially a late push. Really proud of the crew. Bit of a new look for the guide with more of that to follow so if you're excited about the draft, give us a few weeks to fire on all cylinders on a couple other different fronts!
Draft guide can be found here: https://futureconsiderations.ca/2020-guide/
Save yourself some scratch with promo code 2020CP, too.

Your opinion. He had injury issues before last year but was lights out in the ECHL last year. I don't see that trending in the wrong direction at all.

I hope the best for Parsons obviously, but 3.03 GAA and 0.911% in the ECHL is hardly "lights out". It's average at best. He's got a long, long ways to go and the Flames would be pretty dumb to avoid drafting more goalies because of any goalies they currently have in their system, Parsons included.

I doubt he'll be available when the Flames pick but in the past when they've passed on high end goalie prospects in the draft, it hasn't worked out.
Imagine where this team would be with Vasilevskiy in net for them.

Watched some highlights on Gunler today from his season in Sweden...liked what I saw in my viewing but would love to know more about him. He definitely fits in the need that the flames need the most: a right handed top 6 winger that can shoot, skates well and has good hockey IQ. Reminds me a little bit of Lindholm

If Parsons doesn't look good in the AHL next year, he is probably done as a Flame prospect

Those numbers on the team he played on are actually outstanding. Quick's save percentage in the ECHL was .905 on a much better roster.
