In Acadia, sure. But for a growing sport in the city there is an extreme lack on indoor courts in the North (both facilities are fully private and only offer 3-4 courts). Tennis courts would generate a lot of $$ for the facility with very little overhead. It just strikes me as odd that badminton would be such a priority when it can literally be played in any gymnasium space already in existence.
Aside from that - let's get it done. Sport in Calgary will benefit from this big time. Hopefully today's arena announcement does not mean this project will be pushed further down the line again.
