Yeah, I'm not overly confident in Lack's abilities but Niemi has been a tire fire in Pittsburgh. Do not want. Of course, Matt Murray has been hung out to dry there as well so it probably speaks to Pittsburgh's defensive woes as well.

Didn't realize he took that much of a nose dive.
But Pittsburgh's blowout losses are not totally on the goalies.
The point stands that if the Flames have zero confidence in Lack, they may as well replace him with someone who they can play every 10th game at least.

Yeah, Niemi's career almost has a Backström-like feel to it at this point in time. Pass.
Fehr has shown to be effective at times, but again, no.

you didn't catch the pens vs lightening highlights or box score did you? During the highlight package and round table, Hrudey basically said "it's sad to see Niemi's career basically done".
I suggest we see what we have in Lack, Gilles, Rittich before going anywhere near Niemi

I didn't watch Niemi and I didn't know he was the one getting lit up. I based my opinion off Niemi's reputation and it makes sense the Flames should look to replace Lack since they have zero confidence in him.
