Hopefully they just leave him in the press box so that Brouwer, Glass, Stajan, and F. Hamilton can get their reps in.

Bold prediction time. That idiot TSN Toronto guy was right, Jagr is gonna hang em up because he's not feeling it. He stays on IR all year and we don't have to worry about making room for Janko.

If he can get a practice in, he will play. If he can't, he still might but I won't pull my hair out if GG wants him to have one first.

Jagr needs a legit injury to be put on IR all year.

it's crazy in a league that is more and more about speed and skill, those guys, the latter 3 in particular, got onto the roster. Jankowski is obviously faster, bigger, and here's hoping, more skilled/talented than any of them. Absolute no brainer to get him into the lineup.

I'm all for old time hockey with size/physicality, but in this day and age, the other pillar of strong teams is SPEED outside of the obvious skill. I must say, they only disappointment i have with Treliving is that he hasn't done enough to really make the flames faster. I feel like a fast 4th line that can get in on the forecheck is as impactful (if not more) than a heavy/physical one.

As legit as the Hossa and Lupul injuries?

Stajan is allergic to old time hockey, so that argument is out the window.

All of these players have been healthy scratches this season. Also, I think Glass and Brouwer have been effective on the fourth line.

Things Flames fans are craving right now:
-wins
-scoring
-a stable 3rd line center

People need to temper expectations going in with this kid. He's had 1 game in the NHL. If Janko scores 15 points in 60+ games for his first season, I'd say that's a reasonable amount to hope for. Anything else would be icing on the cake.

Enjoy watching the kid play and develop at the highest level. He's certainly deserved it.

Both of those were confirmed by independent NHL medical evaluations, so yes.

Extremely happy to see Jankowski up, it shouldn't have taken this long.

But.....

The expectations should be low for him. He will need some time to adjust to the NHL game, but it is time to start the process of seeing if he can contribute, and how high his potential may be.

The other benefit now is moving Bennett with his poor start to the year. Definitely want to see him move to the wing on either of the top lines and try to get his confidence back.

Hopefully it won't take long and we will see Jankowski playing a strong 2 way game on the third line, and Bennett starting to get some points and being an aggressive and skilled winger.

Here's hoping.

I'm hoping this means that Bennett gets to consistently play with some skilled linemates.
