Thanks. But Damn, I was hoping it was going to be Ball and Debrusk at the very least. Might have to watch the Wild feed on CI then.

After game two he needed to come out of the lineup, he's since strung together a few good efforts. He's disappeared from the attacking end of the ice, but he's trying. I'd keep him in if he'll stay physical and get pucks out.

Well, this is the first time we have a complete blue line this season. Excited. Though knowing how these things go, the three weeks of not playing mean a rusty Kulak plays himself off the team tonight.
Hopefully it works out well.

Guest on Aft Hours tonight is some guy named Jaromir Jagr. Apparently he’s pretty good for his age. Surely you have questions.

Anyone remember the last time Stajan was a healthy scratch?

Though I think Gulutzan is pinning Stajan for the wrong thing (PKing poorly on an old-man pair with Brouwer) when he should be changing up the PK units. Stajan has been solid at 5v5 this season and hasn't earned a healthy scratch. I don't think Lazar or Hamilton are better centers than Stajan particularily at even strength.

Would really like to see us have a good game against a solid team without needing Smith to steal it for us

Our Jessica Fletcher
|
So the lineup is looking to be...
Gaudreau-Monahan-Jagr
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Versteeg-Bennett-Ferland
Hamilton-Lazar-Brouwer
Giordano-Hamilton
Brodie-Hamonic
Kulak-Stone
Smith
It's damn close to the lineup that the majority of us would like to see. Just missing 1 fellow.

The Flames have played enough cumulative periods of "good hockey" to win something like 2 full decisive games now? Maybe 3?
Other than that yeah, seems like Smith is always bailing us out.

Will be interesting to see how they perform. One game can't tell the whole story but I think it is also safe to say that replacing anyone in that lineup with Jankowski likely won't have a dramatic effect either, so if this is the lineup we wanted, let's see how they do.
