I like the Gattis style. No batting gloves or pine tar...just grip it and rip it.

I guess the Astros weren’t done Senator. They played some great baseball those last 2 games.

This is going to be fun.

The Astro's got some clutch pitching tonight and timely hitting from Altuve. Going to be a great World Series.

Even better was watching the high powered Yankee bats get shut down.

Great catch and an even better job of holding onto the ball. Bird did his best to knock the ball out of the glove with his spikes.

Huge turning point in the game!

Lot of salty Blue Jays fans have been waiting in the woods for a night like tonight. Get used to seeing New York in the playoffs for a while. The chase for 28 can’t begin soon enough.

Congrats to Houston.

Huh? Lots of fans hate the Yankees, not just Jays fans.

Also, Houston is a good story having never won a World Series before. There are plenty of reason to be happy the Yankees are eliminated.

Congrats to Houston.
I grew up a Red Sox fan before the days of the Jays. Hated the Yankees back then and still do today

Astros recovered well to avoid the choke and thankfully rid us of the Yankees, but they'll have to be much better to beat the Dodgers. Dodgers are just so deep with pitching.

Happy to see the Yankees gone.

Must say I really like the way RF Judge handles himself. What a class act. So different from some other young sports talents.

Hate he's a Yankee, but respect how he acts and speaks.

I hate the Red Sox significantly more than the Yankees. The Yankees don't really bother me.

I think it depends on your age. When I was a kid the Yankees were perennially great with huge personalities a la Reggie Jackson and Billy Martin. They were easy to hate.

It's not just Jays fans that hate the Yankees. Here is the most hated team in each state:

And now in Canada:

I'd say the hate for the Yankees is a pretty national feeling both in Canada and the US.

Yankees/Bosox hate makes sense, but Padres and White Sox hate in Nunavut? Any idea why?

only theory i can think of for the Padres is that people are Expos fans and the Expos and Padres came into the league together. Or people are Mariners fans and the Mariners and Padres share the same spring training complex. I don't know... do Blue Jays fans hate the Phillies? (same complex)
