Lucic still in the lineup.
Hanifin & Stone huh? Well, could it be worse?

Why wouldn't Lucic be in the lineup? The injury talk is purely speculative as people try to rationalize why he was a no-show in the BOA.

As for goalies I assume Rittich gets the nod tomorrow over Rocky Talboa.

It's not irrational. The guy completely no-showed two of the most physical and important Battle of Alberta games in a very long time.
If Lucic doesn't even make a cameo in those type of games he's truly of no use to the team. He's owed 18 million dollars for the next three years so I know it won't happen but ideally he'd retire. If he's not done as a player he soon will be.

Stone coming back in for either Hanifin or Kylington makes sense given the #### show those two were the past two games. I guess we really only have one option to replace them with right now, so I get how Kylington becomes the one who sits.
I agree a benching of Lucic would make sense........but not surprised to see it not happening. That would be a very public shaming of him that likely isn't going to go over very well with a player we are going to have to have around (like it or not) for a little bit. It's probably the best to try and deal with that away from the public eye versus pilling on to it if you are Ward and the Flames.

Any reports of any players looking ashamed or embarrassed? Or are we just business as usual today?

What good is that going to do now? They need to focus on being much better against the Sharks tomorrow night. Every single one of them.

Agreed. Even if is buddies with all of the Oilers he played with, he wasn’t shy to get in Mike Smith’s kitchen last year.
It would have been so easy for him to save face and not even have to bother his buddies. Just bother Smith.
But no. *grumble*

Well if its just business as usual, that means to me that the team has no heart, and they have lost the plot on what it takes to win in the NHL. They should be angry and embarrassed, and they should use that to drive them. Losing sucks. but losing like that should stick with you, for more then just a day for sure.

If he's trying to help Hamonic, he should try him with Gio, who is much more predictable as a player (which is what I think Hamonic needs), though Brodie has simplified his game a lot since the Hamonic experiment.
With Brodie back to playing good D, perhaps Hanifin Brodie would work. Though that leaves Andersson Stone which doesn't work that well (two RHS).

well, it ain't pretty, but at least they seem to acknowledging that the Defence looks terrible, and needs to be mixed up a bit.
