I'm good if they default both players and declare this major null and void.

Zverev's 2nd serve barely made it over. 68mph.

They're both going to drop and celebrate that it's over. No matter who wins.

I think most of us here can hit a 68 MPH serve.

Well that was certainly something, I’m happy Thiem won but the ending was so slow and plodding it was anti-climactic really.

Oh man, Zverev is making things a little dusty talking about his folks.

The stakes were there, (one person would win their first major) the drama was there , ( a 5th set tie breaker) and occasionally the quality was there (a few epic rallies and Zverev was at a great level the first set and up 5-1) but that was ugly. I expected it from Zverev but Thiem has played 3 other finals and has taken out Djokovic and Nadal in majors. He got very lucky today because he brings that game against anyone who isn't Nerverev and he loses in straight sets.
But I have been watching Thiem for a while and I'm glad he has finally won a major. Even happier it's off clay.

Just watched the post match interview, I feel bad for Zverev that was hard to watch. Watching the first two sets I was thinking okay this guy has finally turned the corner and can compete with the big guys for titles. Hopefully he can figure out his mental game because he has all the tools.

Well Felix's time in Rome is over, he loses in the first round. Hopefully he can get some extra practice in on clay and prepare for the French

Krajinović was a tough opening round draw for Felix. As you say, plenty of time to practice up for Roland Garros.

It's the French. They do everything their way.

Wow, Genie got a main draw wild card for the French Open - I think we were hoping she would get a wild card for the qualifying rounds, but she received direct entry into the main draw.
Main draw wild cards:
1 – BOUCHARD Eugenie (CAN)
2 – BUREL Clara (FRA) *1
3 - JACQUEMOT Elsa (FRA)
4 – PAQUET Chloé (FRA)
5 – PARMENTIER Pauline (FRA)
6 – PARRY Diane (FRA)
7 – PIRONKOVA Tsvetana (BUL)
8 – TAN Harmony (FRA) *2
Edit: Beaten to the good news by Mango above

Meanwhile, Benoit Paire is melting down in Rome against Jannik Sinner.
